We'll have our own area, $#%^....

I have yet to see a game at Ceonseco. I want to go to Indy sometime to catch two Pacers games and a Colts game.

I made the two hour trip to Indy for the game last night and brought my record to 3-0 for the Pacers in games I've attended. First game I've been to since JO's last year here. Anyway, here's my 'report' from my experience at the game.

- Area 55 is AWESOME. Seriously, we don't have the biggest fan base, not even close. But the fact that we have a section like that is completely badass. Reminds me of something out of football or college sports. Monta got a "Where's you're moped!?" chant and when Lance first entered the arena EURUPTED and he got a "Born Ready" chant. I have to sit there from now on. Love that stuff.

- Lance was solid, but he looked a little out of control when he would drive to the basket. Also, when he wasn't landing shots or there was one play where he probably got fouled and they didn't call it, you could tell he was kind of pouting and playing with way less hustle and effort. Nothing real major or obvious but it was noticable.

- We went down to Roy a lot and he got doubled and tripled everytime. Really looked like he was having trouble breaking those, even though a few times it was Lee and Curry and he's much taller and bigger than both. He made some good passes, but every time we dumped it down to him the double/triple came, I would have liked to see more give and go maybe or played off of the expected double/triple teams. Looks like we never really did plan for it.

- I hate to say this cause I know a lot of you guys like him, and I love him for the time he's been here, but Foster is done man. He got lost on defense so many times and Lee and Curry were killing him with the Pick and Roll. There was one play in particular where Foster got beat on it BADLY and Tyler came from way on the other side of the lane to help but ended up picking up a foul on Lee's dunk. We have him for rebounding and big man defense, and he did neither against a very weak front court of GS. I will admit, he's a better option than Solo for sure.

- The first unit was outplaying GS all night long, beating them everywhere on the court. The 2nd units advantage went to GS. Granted, nobody could guard Reggie WIlliams he was hitting everything, but still. We played our best ball when we had the first unit out there with Tyler instead of Josh. Josh seems a little shy to shoot unless he has a free dunk. He had a lot of open looks at jumpers and he just immediately looked for someone else. I'd much rather him take an open 15 footer than try and have Roy beat a double/triple or have Danny drive and lose the ball and take a tough shot in traffic.

- Tyler is really good. A much better player than I think we realize. He constantly was getting looks inside and And 1's. He has a good midrange jumpshot and can finish at the rim nicely with contact. It makes it a tough decision to get a new stud PF cause Tyler can start, but his energy off the bench is really nice.

- I'm hoping that what Vogel is doing is breeding Lance to be the backup PG instead of Price. Lance is a MUCH better playmaker. The offense just looks out of sorts when Lance is running it, not much movement, not many passes, too many bad shots. Price doesn't get to the rim as well as Lance either.

- King George's fast break dunk in the 4th was INSANE. Conseco blew up when he did that.

- Pregame antics I noticed the guys on our team like each other and are having fun. There was a bunch of cutting up and dancing and stuff and we were real loose. Lance had some good interaction with Danny and Roy, which I liked that they were interacting with him, making him feel part of the team. Since they are the leaders of the team, I think that's important. Note: No one really talked to Posey or Solo.

- Our player intro video is awesome. I loved it.

It's a good time fellas. I really enjoy everytime I get to go to a game. It'd be cool to organize a game where we could all go and meet up one weekend game or something. Maybe all get tickets in Area 55 and go nuts. :)

Agreed with everything except Tyler and McBOBS. Josh knows his role and he fills it. He gets 6-8 points, ~8 rebounds, and a handful of assists with some nice defensive plays every night. like having him with the first unit and Tyler off the bench because he just fits better with the starters on offense. Because Tyler comes off the bench, when he's in he can look for his shot. He is kind of a black hole on offense so that's why I'd keep him coming off the bench. Don't need a black hole when you have Granger, Roy, and soon to be PGGGGGG already on the floor.

Glad to hear you had a good time. I'm 0-3 this year (Spurs, Celtics, and Bulls *shakes head*)

Tyler will assume Foster's role, he'll add more offense, but he can't guard centers. We'll need a good b/u center if Foster isn't resigned, but all in all I see Tyler as the perfect fist big off the bench playing 24-26 mpg. That would leave plenty of minutes for Hibbert and whoever we get to start at the 4.

Tyler could fill that role for the next eight seasons for all I care. He is smart, a good influence, and his motor is ridiculous.

However, we do need another low-post presence on offense and especially defense.

When the offseason rolls around I'd approach Philly about Speights availability. I have a feeling we could address our deficiencies via a trade for a player like Speights or Jason Thompson. Brandon Rush & a 2nd would work for me.

We'll have a lot of options.

Starkiller, is there any chance you can make it out to Oklahoma City for tonights game?

Josh does not get more rebounds than points. I'd say he needs to work on his rebounding if anything.
