Michael Beasley
Recently, the Minnesota Timberwolves' forward seems to be going through a bit of a slump. I recognize that he just turned 22 and still has tons of room to improve, however I think the Wolves need someone who can contribute on both ends of the court.
On the season, Beasley is averaging 19.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg, and 2.2 apg in 32.7 mpg.
Ideally, Minnesota would want a SG or SF, who plays defense, has some play-making skills, and complements Wolves' rookie Wes Johnson well. Or possibly a center who plays defense, and won't embarrass himself or the team offensively. The wing we keep coming back to in the Wolves' forum is Andre Iguodala. In the post, Anderson Varejao's name has been brought up as a target.
What offers do you have? Keep in mind that we would like to get veterans who are a little older, but not over the hill. However, we will take a younger player if the talent and value fits.

I'm thinking Travis Outlaw. You might have to include your pick though.

Re: Michael Beasley
I don't know. Beasley has proven that he is better than what he was traded for: a 2nd rounder (there was a pick swap as well, which I think Minny was dumb to include). But after this season, he has only one year left until he receives an extension. If there is a team that's trading for Beasley, I would like to think that they view Beasley as a long term piece.

I'm pretty sure that the cost was two 2nds. If there was a swap it was of 2nds. We didn't give up a 1st.

Yep, you are right.
Heat Beasley trade no longer has first-round pick swap, second-round picks in 2011 and 2014 and cash considerations instead.
At the time, the deal was not finalized and the pick swap was initially there before it was removed.

Re: Michael Beasley
Come on, Beasley was traded for a couple 2nds so Miami could sign Mike Miller and resign Haslem.
His value certainly isn't sky high, especially with one season of rookie scale left, but what he was traded for has absolutely no bearing on what he is currently worth.

Philly has no interest in him in an Iguodala deal.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Beasley = 2 2nds but I get the sense that a lot of people here usually try to suggest that.
Beasley is 22 and still has a considerable amount of upside.

Re: Michael Beasley
I really wanted the Wiz to get Beasley and would have liked us to give up the 2 2nds to get him damnt...
That being said we obviously wouldnt trade Wall or our pick for him of what we currently have and I really would rather not trade McGee for him either. I pretty much would trade anything else we have for him... however I cant see the Wolves being interested in much else.

S&T Nick Young for him?

Re: Michael Beasley
I wouldnt do Nick Young for Beasley. Im not completely opposed to trading Nick, but not for Beasley.
Ive had it with McGee but I wouldnt swap him for Beas straight up either. About the only guy on the Wiz i would trade would be Blatche and i doubt Wolves would do that straight up either.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Re: Michael Beasley
I was thinking S&T Nick Young in a Beasley deal but I'm about 50/50 on whether I would do it or not... and I dont know if the Wolves would even be interested since they have Wes Johnson as their SG. Now if they werent happy with Wes and wanted to do Wes and Beasley for Nick Young and Blatche, that I would definitely do. And throw in something else too like Sepharin or ATL pick.

Re: Michael Beasley
Beasley is easily worth a mid first and an expiring. Dude has a long way to go, but when you are saying that about a guy that is putting up 19 points a game, he has value.

Re: Michael Beasley
What about a deal revolving around the Wiz sending the Hawk's pick and an expiring, or Blatche?
Im interested in Beasley coming to DC, being a native and all he might put the work in to reach his potential, cant really think of any other deals that would be good for both sides really.

I don't think Beasley gets moved and I think his value to Minnesota would be greater then his general trade value, so it would cost.
