GM-a-Team: Super Sexy Edition - Draft Order

Post#1 » by Miller4ever » Thu Mar 3, 2011 3:37 am

CLAIM YOUR PICKS!

After the lottery, the draft order is as follows:

1. MIN
2. CLE
3. PHO
4. CHA
5. HOU
6. TOR
7. PHI
8. WAS
9. SAC
10. MIL
11. NYK
12. MEM
13. NOH
14. LAC
15. ORL
16. NJN
17. IND
18. UTA
19. DEN
20. GSW
21. POR
22. ATL
23. OKC
24. DAL
25. BOS
26. SAS
27. MIA
28. CHI
29. LAL
30. DET*

*Without a GM, I feel it's unfair for DET to have as high of a pick as it would've, depriving the people who actually play a crack at a top player in the draft.

Utah does not have any picks, instead both are deferred until next year because the Memphis pick was top 14 protected, and our pick was traded if it wasn't in the top 16.

Portland has the 13th overall pick from the Bayless trade.

BTW, 21st? Really? :)

Timberwolves in to claim that #1 pick. Also claim #39 from PHX, #49 from Denver, and #53 from OKC.

Going to listen to offers for #1, if I don't find anything I might make the pick tonight.

Got to agree w/ Zarko. Order seems wack.

It was a lottery. Look at the second round for the actual rankings.

Miami's 2011 1st
Utah's 2011 2nd
Celtics 2011 2nd

are all PHX's picks as well.

I'll be keeping my first round pick (option to swap). I've also got Dallas' 1st round pick and second round pick. And I've also got the Clippers first round pick as well.

The Chicago Bulls are not happy were they were ranked.

Also, if it helps, we have no picks in this draft at all.

I have New York's second round pick (#41). None of my own.

I want to know where Detroit really finished cuz sticking them at 30 is just wrong IMO.

SAS and MIA made no moves either. I don't know how things shook out but this could be a result...

A: someone is in lotto that should not be perhaps
B: maybe someone got a top 3 pick as a result of the way things got moved around.

This next point is only affected with the 2nd round placement and less pertinent to others as is to me...

I own their 2nd round pick and they are mos def not the best team in league. I held on to that pick for a reason. ;)

He does have a few legit points there. Detroit should probably be ranked were there we ranked, not last. They dont have a GM, but why would someone want take them over, when now they have the last pick when they should have a top 12 pick at worst. Dont hurt the franchise because no one GM'd their team. I would like to suggest another GM taking over 2 teams, or the "League" takes over and makes the selection for the team. I know people dont like the idea of a GM having 2 teams, but at least that team could be active. Just my 2 cents.

Philly claims its own 2nd round pick (#35), but New Orleans has the right to swap this pick with theirs if they chose to.

LAC claims MEM 1st and Detroit 2nd(once their real finish is posted)

Please get this fixed ASAP since it could also affect where NY picks by 4 spots(since they most likely finished higher than DET and would make the playoffs as a result)
