what about

To Toronto: Jonny Flynn + Eddy Curry
To Minnesota: Hasheem Thabeet + Jose Calderon + Greivis Vasquez
To Memphis: Sebastian Telfair + Joey Dorsey + Julian Wright + TOR 2012 2nd + MIN 2011 2nd

Raptors get Flynn and get younger

Minny takes another chance on someone like Thabeet and grab Calderon

Memphis gets all expiring, Wright fills in for Gay whos out for 4 weeks. Telfair is a nice backup PG and Dorsey played college ball in Memphis. Save 6.2 million as well next year.

Flynn / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Johnson / Weems / Klezia*
Amir / Davis / Curry
Bargnani / Evans / Ajincia / Alabi

Evans for a SG/SF deal too?

I'd really like to see the Raps try and trade Bargnani to the Pacers this summer for a collection of young players like Paul George, Hansborough, and Lance Stephenson - might need a 3rd team to be involved for more contract. Indiana really needs a PF so I could see them being interested. If the Raps can build like okc through the trade and add young tradeable pieces for when guys like DeRozan, (Irving hopefully) and Ed Davis are mature and ready to contend that would be incredible.

Not sure the Bucks go for this but what about:

Jose+Dorsey (or Weems, Ajinca, or some other minimum contract player) for Gooden+Jennings

Milwaukee dumps Gooden and picks up a starting PG upgrade, we will probably suck short term, but gamble on Brandon's upside. He would make a fine backup plan in the (likely) event that we are unable to land Kyrie this summer. Gooden makes about the same amount as Jose--but spaced out over 5 years instead of 3.

Draft day trade:

To Phoenix-
Jose Calderon
Linas Kleiza
1st round pick(right now 4th)

Phoenix gets Calderon, who is playing very well right now, for 2 years, and a usefull player when healthy in Kleiza. They get a very high draft pick to add a desperately needed big(Kanter?) They also get rid of Childress who has a bad contract and doesn't fit well in their system.

To Toronto-
Steve Nash
Josh Childress
1st round pick(right now 13th)

Raps give the keys to this talented young team to Nash so he can work his Magic, with the hope that he re-signs and becomes a mentor to the young guards. They take on Childress' bad contract and still get a decent pick.

Draft:
1st- G/F Jordan Hamilton
2nd- combo guard Malcolm Lee

Sign:
Tyson Chandler
Joey Dorsey

Roster:

C- Chandler/Davis/Alabi
PF- Bargnani/A.Johnson/Dorsey
SF- J.Johnson/Childress
SG- Derozan/Hamilton/Barbosa
PG- Nash/Bayless/Lee

Try to move Barbosa.

This is a playoff team.

I was thinking about how much talent Indy has on the bench, we should really go for that, it would give us a heck of a young core.

Getting a bunch of decent bench players, however young, =/= a core.

I think it's going to take years of BC-deprogramming for people to get this.

A core is a group of star players you add role players to, not the collection of role players you wait to add the star to.

That said, Bargs is a role player too, so WTF you gonna do?

Bide our time until we get lucky in an above average draft.

The only people I consider trading/let expire etc.. right now are Jose, Barbosa and Evans.

Everyone else is young enough with ample room for development. If and when we get said franchise player..cough..cough..M.Gilchrist cough...cough..., then we can see how the rest of the players fit around him. Everyone of our current players should be fair game when that time comes.

I think the Bucks (meaning me) would be more interested in Bogut for Davis/Barbosa/Raptors 2011 1st.

The way I see it, Bargnani is immovable, and Calderon isn't far behind. The thing the Raptors lack is defense and rebounding. This would be a move that puts the Raptors back in the playoffs next year. I can't think of a better complement for Bargnani than Bogut. You would have the killer B's and the triple A's (Andrew, Andrea, Amir).

This would likely be a post lottery move, or maybe not. I guess it depends on how much you would value a fully healthy Bogut. I can understand some reluctance to part with the #1 overall pick, but I would probably still do this for the pick in any slot 2-5.

I think you are overrating Bogut. I highly doubt the Raps give up both Davis and their 1st for Bogut. He is good but injury prone. Raps are still years away from contending so it makes no sense to give up two young pieces for Bogut right now.

I don't really think I am overrating him. He's the second best center in the league when straight. That's cool though. Have fun watching Colangelo draft one of those euro centers, and then enjoy watching that kid foul out of every game, for their first three years.

Wow, that turned bitter quick.
Listen, I think Bogut is a good player (though has a bit of a problem staying healthy). If you truly rate him as the 2nd best centre in the league, then why and the h*ll would you trade him for a rookie and a draft pick in a "shallow" draft? I would think you would want to build around a solid piece like that. Instead of trading Bogut, why is Milwaukee not trading players to add around him?
What that says to me is that something is wrong with him and you want to get out of that contract.

As I said before, even after adding Bogut the Raps still have too many holes to fill. They should continue to get younger instead of trading them away.

Well Delfino is fully unguaranteed. Dooling isn't and he would make a decent 3rd PG

As far as the draft goes.

Flynn / Bayless / Dooling
Derozan / Barbosa
Jones / Klezia / Johnson
Davis / Johnson
Bargnani / Center (Jordan ?) / Alabi

Or

Flynn / Bayless / Dooling
Derozan / Barbosa
Green / Klezia / Johnson
Davis / Amir
Bargnani / Kanter / Alabi

Whoever you draft you sign the other with the cap space. If you draft Irving then it completely changes

Would anyone do this? Only if Kyrie isn't there. Would be done on draft day

To TOR: Jennings + Sanders + Delfino (unguaranteed so waived)
To MIL: Calderon + TOR 2011 1st

Toronto gets:
- Young PG who's good friends with Demar
- cap savings by dumping Calderon. Save over 5 million instantly
- young big that is athletic and can play C

Milwaukee gets:
- top 5 pick who could be Sullinger who they pair with Bogut
- steady PG in Calderon

Our offseason
- Sign Jeff Green or Wilson Chandler to 9-10 million dollar deals. Boston won't match that. Denver might

Jennings / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Green / Johnson / Klezia*
Davis / Amir
Bargnani / Sanders / Alabi

+ players to fill out bench

I just think we can fill our SF need through FA and if we can get a young PG and big while saving money to go after a SF it makes sense to me

I'd absolutely do that trade, no doubt! I personally like Jennings over anyone in the upcoming draft not named Irving.

Trade Bargnani for a real Center and BOOM! our team is looking **** loads better!

That being said, I'll take Jennings/Bogut/Mil 1st for Bayless/Ed/Toronto 1st.
