People that hate knicks fans don't know real knicks fans. Knicks fans that are tools and sit at the game and say they are going to win a ring this year are the reason people hate them. Knicks fans that know what they are talking about should not be the reason people hate them. If it is, those people are just grumpy because they know the knicks might beat their team in the first round.

I wouldn't say I'm scared. That's a lot of talent between those 3 guys but the NBA isn't a 3v3 game.

Bulls vs Knicks in the 1st round would be one of the most difficult first round draws in recent memory. I think Chicago wins, but it would be a TOUGH series. Billups/Melo/Stat is no joke, those 3 guys in the playoffs all can raise their games.

Can't be scary if you don't have defensive presence.

You ask if the Knicks are they scariest team, and then compare them to..... *wait for it* ....

....

...

the Pacers????

Sure, the Knicks are scarier than the Pacers, but that is a LOOOOONG way from being scariest in the league. Knicks are undoubtedly NOT the scariest team in the league. It's only silly Knicks homers who believe that, and I am pretty sure realGM knows the type I am talking about. Knicks homers are something else....

Until they get either a new coach or at least better assistants who can bring in a solid defensive philosophy, teams like Boston, Miami, Chicago, and Orlando won't be losing any sleep about matching up against the Knicks in the first round.

Also they still have a lot of holes in their roster. In a year or two they'll be really dangerous as the roster fills out, but this year they probably can't beat any of the teams I mentioned above in a playoff series.

Some people really just don't understand how tough winning road playoff games is. The Knicks will for sure get at least 2 home games and those games will be a complete craps shoot for the visitor (whether it be Boston, Miami, or Chicago).

To just state that the Knicks would get swept like its a sure thing only shows you don't grasp just how close the NBA actually is in terms of competition. When the worst team (Cavs) in the league can beat the arguable best team (Celtics or Lakers) on on any given night thanks to homecourt that should show just how competitive the league is.

koogiking wrote:I don't mean the best, I mean the scariest. The NY Knicks have a team with enough talent to really scare the Celtics, Bulls, and Miami Heat in the playoffs, even though the knicks are 6th seed currently. It would be a complete pain to face the NY Knicks in the first round.

If you had to choose who to face between the pacers and the knicks it would definitely be the pacers. The race for first seed in the east is extremely tight and 1 game can become the difference between going against Carmelo Anthony/Amare/Billups, and going against Danny Granger. The Knicks might just wind up ruining someones playoff run.

The fact that the knicks have only been together for like a week and they still beat the heat, blew out the hornets and almost beat the Magic(without a real center which is even more amazing) is really something.

The Nuggets also seem like a team that can really annoy someone in the first round too

Yes they are, if they play any of Chicago, Boston or Miami they are good enough to beat any of them in a series.

I'm sure by "scariest" the OP meant the team most likely to pull an upset in the first round of the playoffs. Meaning the most dangerous 5-8 seed. He isn't saying we are the best...

Why wouldn't the best teams also be the scariest?

Knicks could easily be beat by Boston Chicago Miami.

Not the scariest because their bench sucks, but they could easily upset in the 1st round of the playoffs, especially if they face the Bulls/Magic.

I don't see them beating Miami or the Celtics though
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

Right, because no one, especially Knick fans, should respond to unqualified statements and unsubstantiated claims.

Seriously what world are you from? **** like this happens to the best of the teams.

I wouldn't consider them a major threat YET, but they will be sooner than later.

thats regular season buddy, playoffs bring out a whole different animal in players but yes I agree with your sentiment bout NYK getting swept, I dont think they get swept in a series against the top 3 east team but I dont think they beat any of them either.

They're not the scariest this year, but they probably will be next year. They just need to add some interior presence.

They won't be the scariest until they win a championship. Look at the Mavericks and their plethora of talent. No one really "fears" them.
