Also, I LOVE that Edmund Gates has a basketball background. It definitely shows with his ability to track the ball and go up and get it.

Icness, where do you see Gates going and where for Kerley? Actually, I'd just be interested in how you rank the receivers. There seem to be a ton this year that can operate out of the slot and return kicks.

And do you happen to know why Gates was kicked off his basketball team? Have you heard of anyone raising issues with his character?

Edit: Gates will be a 25 year old rookie. That knocks him down a bit in my eyes. Still love him as a prospect, though.

If y'all want a slot guy/return specialist to watch, check out TCU's Jeremy Kerley. He's hurt now and couldn't run, but he's a legit high 4.4 guy. Where he shines is quickness: he's done the shuttle in under 4.2 and he resembles Devin Hester in that regard. Tremendous return man, fearless and lightning quick, can plant and change direciton at full speed. Good receiver that cuts quickly and catches the ball well. He's a 4th/5th rounder, has no bulk and only one gear and doesn't break arm tackles.

Totally agree here, I'd love to see us grab Kerley with one of our 4ths.
