Well, this is certainly not going to be the most anticipated NBA game of the week. Two of the league's bottom dwellers compete for the right to more ping pong balls as the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the most powerful city in the world.

It's been a trying year for both squads. For YOUR Wizards, the final few games of the season represent an opportunity to develop rookies G John Wall, G Jordan Crawford, F Trevor Booker, and C Kevin Seraphin. It will also provide the management and ownership an opportunity to assess the relatively young players who may or may not be part of the core as the franchise seeks to turn its fortunes around. G Nick Young, F Andray Blatche, and C JaVale McGee are among that group.

THE ONE TO WATCH

Image
Wizards F Trevor "No Neck" Booker

T-Wolves F Kevin Love is a physical, aggressive rebounding machine. Look for the Wizards coaching staff to turn to Booker if starting F Andray Blatche has trouble on the boards with Love.

Gotta root for a loss here. If Minny pulls out a win, we rise to 2nd in the draft lotto pecking order.

.

It will be up to Andray Blatche to keep Kevin Love off of the boards. Whoever else comments to this thread before game time, give us all your best guess as to how many boards Love will get.

Pine's guess: 20

EDIT: Dang, the Shakira you tube video in the original post won't play. I'm not feeling the positive juju from our good luck charm. Just in case, here is a replacement.

No way am I rooting for a loss, particularly to this crappy Timberwolves team. I need something this year, it cannot be about nothing but ping-pong balls. I can rationalize losing that way, but I could never root for it.

Wizards v. Wolves. The Throwdown in Chinatown. Sorcerer's Spell against Canine Claw. Hearts pound faster, yet skip a beat. Blood rushes to a halt. Excruciating tension buzzsaws through the crazed spectators as the combatants descend upon the arena, resigned to merciless battle, tasting blood.

Newly rechristened "Blatchemo" arrives with silver dyed fro-hawk and a tattoo across his neck that reads "The Inside Man". Love gets his 20-20, but Blatchemo gets his first ever. At the final buzzer, McGee's 8 blocks, Wall's 16 assists, Young's 34 points, and the final score (Wolves, 106-102, plagiarizing a prior score) are afterthoughts. All worries rest on this cross between Dennis Rodman and Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man.

All Hail The Conquering Blatchemo...

Lewis had a good game.
There was no Dray.
Wall was -18
AT played well, he is gone.
Kirk played well, he is gone

K Love with 35 pts and 11 rebounds. Raining 3s as I recall.

http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=310113016

Put Dray vs Love. 6-11 260 vs 6-10 260

Put Seraphin vs Darko 6-9 275 with leaps vs 7-0 275 no leaps

Last game McGee pushed around and only play 17 minutes. Darko was 7-16 and 11 rebounds.

Wall/Mustafa
NY/Crawford/Martin
Howard/Mo
Dray/Booker/Yi
Seraphin/McGee

Would love for one our guys to deny Love a double-double tonight, tall order I know with this group.
The fellas need a win.

I would love to see Beef Brothers 2.0 get big minutes against Love and let McGee and Blatche feast on their bench bigs.

Love is going to get his but luckily he sucks on defense. Blatche should be able to get his on their front court and hopefully we can get a W. I'm all for tanking but we need a W here and there.

I just hope they do something. I can watch loses but 25 pts down is hard to watch.

I can at least watch it if Booker and Seraphin are in because it's something new and I want to see what they can do from here on out to build for next year.

I hope we get to see a good bit of both and zero Dray/McGee together.

Darko is having a baby, didn't make the roadtrip. Wes missed last night with food poisoning.

Team's like the Wizards and the Wolves need food tasters. All the better teams have them.

No Darko (congrats, by the way; If it's a boy, don't name it Larry), better for Blatchemo. Go! Go! Go!
