Knicks also have a sort of 'nothing to lose' mentality right now... this isn't supposed to be 'our year'.. we clearly don't have the pieces needed for a title and are still very much building - but even so, we have enough talent in those three guys and enough bench guys that have the potential to step up, to beat any team on any given night - which makes us dangerous... Would we be the favorite against Miami or Boston, of course not... but any team with Amare and Melo, along with a healthy Billups running the point can be a big spoiler for these top teams that think they can run through us because our record is only a few games over .500 or cause we're a 6th seed...

Hell i'd pick us against the Hawks in a 7 game series despite the lack of a big.... I also think we'd give Chi/Orlando a very good series... and make Boston/Miami really work to advance.

Is that question towards the fans or the basketball team?
If it's for a basketball team, if they truly want to win a championship, I don't understand why the Knicks (or any team for that matter) would be scary. Could you lose to them? Yep! And they could lose to you.

I'd like to see any evidence of this, if at all. Stop making prebuilt excuses kid.

You're undervaluing that particular skill. Ask any coach in the league, and he'll tell you that he would love to have a strong post defender.

It is a valuable skill but not one that automatically makes you a contender. The Thunder still don't have a consistent low post scorer and replacing Krstic with Perkins they got even worse in that aspect.

What? We know we're not scary this season. Most of us are reasonable enough to know that, while still very successful, we've been embarrassing all season.

Lets be honest here...facing Amare Stoudemire, Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony in round 1 would not be in the best interest of any top seeded team...

as far as defense goes...this Knick team can D up. They can get stops, they showed it pre-Melo as well as post-Melo. Lets remember, NY doesn't have to defend for 82 games in the playoffs. They need to get timely stops and considering they've shown they're capable of that this year, especially in big games, i'd bet on NY playing enough D to be in position to win a series. And lets not forget, whoever does match up Vs. NY will have to stop Anthony, Amare and Billups over a 7 game series, along with a barrage of 3 point shooters...no easy feat. Will make for some good basketball though either way.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Bulls would beat the Knicks in 6. I'm confident enough to put money on it, but the Knicks beating us isn't impossible. I'd be a little nervous.

The only thing I'm scared of about the Knicks is the possiblity of Spike Lee going mental at MSG during the playoffs.

Until the knicks get someone over 6-9 to play center (sorry Shawne Williams) they're not really that "scary".

The current knicks team vs the current bulls team? 0-0

The old knicks team vs the current bulls team? 0-0.

But keep hanging on to those wins against a hobbled team in November and December as indicators of.......well......nothing.

Rudy Gay, Shane battier and Tony Allen.
