sure, but with their core, if there is one thing they won't be, that's explosive :) green helps with that, of course, but boston play a slow pace. he is still a nice fit in their offense, no doubt. but he won't elevate them since the plays will be called for their big three... i don't know, for a slow team like boston, with everything on the line in this season and next, i wouldn't have dealt my center.
okc certainly have every reason to do this deal but if they think perkins lifts them above the lakers, they're ill-advised. he'll look horrible on offense and his slow feet will force their PF to help... and they are weak at PF already...!

Celtics might just be foolish enough to try it.

Rivers is going to run a lot of sets with Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Green and Garnett. If they can effectively use zone defense to counteract Bynum on defense, then they can attack him on the offensive side. Garnett is far from his prime, but he can still draw fouls from Bynum.

In this league, you won't know what will and won't work until you try it out.

I wouldn't make a prediction that bold. These guys still have to go out there and play. Being over confident can be a bad thing for the team.

A bold prediction worth making would be something like saying that Smith and Ratliff will never average 30 minutes a game again in their careers. That's more likely to be true.

Good business. You can extend Ibaka and Westbrook and still find a few other workable pieces.

I think if the lakers is as much a favorite as last year to win an NBA title this year, the Celtics won't trade perk to OKC. This season every teams have improved a lot, and to an aging team like the lakers, home court is more important than ever.

We still have an advantage over this young OKC team, but celtics are definetly putting all their chip on 38 year old shaq to hold it down in the paint. Green does make them faster and gives them alot of versitility but in the end playoff basketball is alll about the paint.

I don't see why, Drew owns that wanna be thug & he will slow their run & gun down tremendously.

I wouldn't overlook the Thunder. They're a legitimate playoff team. Jackson and Bryant are too smart to let the team overlook them.

We agree then that there's some real estate between "overlook" and "overly worried". Oklahoma has a good team. Perkins has potential to make them great.

if perkins can get healthy this season
that one of the big reasons ainge traded him because he wasnt certain he could make a contribution for the title run this year
and pretty much the same for nate robinson who sucks anyways
