I made my opinion known in other threads. If they can pull it off I really like this roster going down the stretch when the smallest errors can cost a game, which could cost that final playoff position. From here on in every team in contention will be tightening up defensively and upping the effort.

Players like Powe, Battier, and Tony Allen's contributions, while not looking fantastic statwise, will make a significant difference. Even having Haddadi contribute, and Jason Williams, can make a difference in tight games. We'll now see the real Lionel Hollins and how he puts out his rotations off the bench, and rest for the starters at critical times.

I sure hope they get Powe, who has been through the playoff wars with Boston.

Powe could definately help the Grizz out in the post with his toughness for defense and doing the little things to help the Grizz if signed. I wonder though how durable he is now with the knee surgery well behind him now.

Didn't Leon Powe go to school with OJ Mayo?

Looks like he will officially sign with the Grizz, per David Aldridge. Great pickup. Can't believe we are actually making moves to compete. The playoffs are going to be exciting as hell.

Blows my mind how much they've improved the bench since the beginning of the season.

Hope he gives us some good energy and minutes. The bench has really rounded out and is now a potential strength. I mean how weird does that sound? :)

Solid move. Hope that Powe's knee holds up on the floor and he'll be a great asset to us from here on in.

Once Rudy returns from injury, our bench will look as follows:

Jwill
Tony Allen
OJ Mayo
Shane Battier
Darrell Arthur
Leon Powe
Haddadi
Vazquez

Good mix of offense and defense, veterans and young guys.
