Sure, he's not the go-to guy on offense like everyone wants him to be...but that's not his value to the team. He is our lock down, defensive stopper. He's shown that he can consistently nuetralize his opponents best scorer. And now with Carmelo in the division he becomes that much more important.
So we pay a guy 15mil per to stop one guy. Thats logical...
Just curious. How much did the last ten or so DPOY make
Shutting down the opposing team's best scorer means nothing? That's logical
DPOY of last 10 years: Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Marcus Camby, Ron Artest, and Ben Wallace all earned similar if not bigger contracts compare to Iguodala.
Probably should check your facts before posting to avoid embarassing yourself.
First off i asked a question genius. I did not make a statement which would require facts. And I did NOT say that shutting down the opposing teams best scorer means nothing. I was alluding to paying 15mil to do so is illogical. Maybe you should sharpen your reading comprehension skills before posting to avoid embarassing yourself.
DH12 and Garnett are effective on both ends of the floor which makes them way more effective than Iggy and worth the money.
Ron Artest made $5,473,684 for the 03-04 season. Thats less than 6Mil.
Ben Wallace was a complete game changer on the defensive end and anchored the pistons defense to a championship and a hand full of ECF appearances.
Marcus Camby Made 8.8mil the year he won DPOY. And hes a big man, big men usually get paid more. But he still made far less then Iggy's making.
Another thing. These guys actually WON the award
Oh and before I go, this post contains actual facts unlike your post. So yet again to avoid embarrassing yourself you should check your facts before posting.
