Almost a 30 point loss.

If Ji were here, he'd go and spam their board. (And get waived in a few minutes).

After losing to Orlando at home, and prior to the Spurs game... LeBron James:

James joked around with teammates to lighten the mood, even mocking Orlando's Gilbert Arenas for using the “can’t feel my face” move after hitting a few 3-pointers in the Heat's stunning loss to the Magic the night before. Mike Miller bantered about the “El Heat” jerseys the team was wearing for the first time to recognize Latin American fans with “Los Spurs.”

Guess they need another team meeting.

How about "Big Douchbag" to the tune of "MVP"? Now that would be something.

When Cleveland got Antawn, I knew they would be hurting defensively in the playoffs.

The Heat didn't help themselves at all acquiring Bibby for Arroyo. Miami is now finding out the same things Washington did about Mike Miller. He's not assertive at either end of the court. The Heat's big three are no more potent than Chauncey, Carmelo, and Amare. Worse, Lebron's gotta big ego. As bad as he whines for fouls, he won't accept not living at the FT line in the playoffs.

The Heat have all the makings of a team destined to grow apart.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Wow, this is supposed to be the Flame Lebron thread. But CCJ be dropping some wisdom here.

Miami will still only go as far as DWade takes them.

I wonder what woulda happened if Miami had inked Amar'e and Joe Johnson instead of Bosh and Lebron.

Bron woulda gone to Chicago (THAT would be an awesome team), Bosh to NY?

Heat have had runs of 21-1 and 11-1. Outside of that, they are 11-17. Streaky team, very dependent on the health (I imagine including mental health) of their big 3 and, like in Cleveland, the supporting cast revolves around the stars such that it's hard for the team to pick up the slack when the stars fall short. Depends on which team shows up in playoffs, but they start a tough six-game home stand today that includes the Lakers, Spurs, and Thunder and no lousy teams. They really need to stop screwing around and start thinking about winning those seven championships in a row, or else a lot of season ticket holders are going to be mad.

Wasn't Tom Thibodeau an assistant for the Wizards at one point? Why didn't he succeed here? Why wasn't he considered for the head coach opening ahead of Flip Saunders?

Ah, Thibs lasted all of three days as a Wizard. He was brought on as the defensive assistant for Eddie Jordan, seemingly without Jordan's desire or blessing. After one meeting with Eddie, Thibs asked to be released from his contract.

That should answer your questions.

Biggest mistake of the Wizards in the past 10 years that doesn't relate to a contract. Maybe the team wins something of signficance if he stays on. Why wasn't he considered for the job? Was it because of the hard feelings.

Actually, it doesn't. How does that happen ? How does a GM bring in a guy and a HC have the influence to effectively override his move ?

Those are different questions. You are also a different your.

I suggest we take this to an appropriate thread. Hands, you're in charge of finding where that is, but it sure isn't here. =D

Signing Bosh and Lebron was fine, it's the money they spent on Miller is what is killing them right now. And then they re-sign Joel Anthony to a $4 million per year contract. Close to $10 million in first year salary that could have been split into 2 or 3 players willing to play for less. They would have been deeper and probably a bit better than what they're playing now. A guy like Dorrell Wright signed for $10 mil over 3 years, ya think the Heat wouldn't mind him on their team right now?

if we're in the business of piling on....

And Lebron's twitter account supplies no end to the ammunition, as the Heat are now a nice 0-3 since his going to "war" with his "soldiers" nonsense. I've always hated that often disrespectful analogy, so its only fitting Lesleaze would use it.

If the Heat are going to war, he's General Custer and the playoffs will be their Little Big Horn.

What normally happens when guys like Lebron and Wade shoot 1-12 on shot attempts when they're down 3 or less with less than 10 seconds left in the clock (or whatever the stat was that ABC broke out yesterday) is that the shots start falling. Just sayin'.
