The reason why its frustrating is because we have 3 good scoring options in the starting lineup and a lot of the time it feels like 2 of them aren't even there. Rather than jacking up all the shots Kobe did he should look to create offense for others.
As great of a player as Kobe is that is always one thing that I will never understand about Kobe. Its not like he doesn't know that people say you try to do so much that it actually hurts your team. There is nothing you can do to change the way he plays and he has stated numerous times that he doesn't care how people view him.
Best post of the night. I remember when he didnt have any help, I use to watch the games excited about who he was going to torch on a highly basis. Also I remember a lot of people (including myself) saying if Kobe had some help we would be back on top.
Well now he has help. What I'm starting to feel is he's having a hard time facing reality that he's in the twilight of his career, Phil will be gone next year so who cares? I'm going to do what I want to do. That's what gets me. Don't expect a lot of support with this post Skyhook because the mentality on this board from most is either "so what its Kobe", or "so what we won"
You have to be a really selfish person to have your bigs working their a**es off & not pass them the ball nearly the whole game & jack up 27 shots in 3 quarters at a well under 50% clip. The Kobe apologists see nothing wrong with this.
Thanks man. You brought up some great points above that I agree with. When Drew and Pau are working their asses off that should be more than enough to get them touches. The sole fact that very few teams can even stop Drew in the low block should be reason enough to get him more touches than he has been getting.
Either way as long as the Lakers keep up the hard work they will keep winning. Sunday is going to be a big test for the Lakers. They should of won last time against the Spurs so you know they will come out swinging this Sunday.
