Jax To Sit Long Term With Hammy Injury

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Sat Mar 5, 2011 12:27 pm

http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_n ... ckson.html

The Charlotte Bobcats are shutting down leading scorer Stephen Jackson however long it takes to heal his strained left hamstring

The lack of wing depth is REALLY going to hurt.

Might as well stick a fork in that playoff dream now. Pretty safe to say with this news we are done.

So who would start? Carroll? McGuire? White (with Diaw at SF)? Cunningham for the lulz?

Dang. Well, at least we can still look forward to the high draft pick. I'm sure McGuire will step in as the starter...what a world this is. Goes from cut to make room to starting in a week. I hope that Silas uses Cunningham at the 3 to get him some minutes and see what he can do. I'm also okay with a lot of DJ White at PF and Diaw at SF for stretches. Anyway to get DJ White more minutes. It's time to just see what the young guys can do now. Including Temple. As far as i'm concerned, DJ/Hendo/Temple/DJ White/Cunningham all need to get minutes so we can see what we have for next season. Diaw getting minutes and doing nothing doesn't help us now and it hurts us for the future.

So what happen to the D-League SG Garrett Temple we were suppose to bring in? We need to bring someone at the wing. How about kelenna Azubuike? We're only a game out, we can still make a run for the playoff. If we wanted to tank, it should have been done a long time ago.

Garrett Temple is a wing. He is a 6'6" SG/SF type player. Were just going to have to see a lot of time of Carroll/Hendo/Temple and hope to god we score a least 60...

Well, it will surely improve our Draft position. Likely wil move into Top 6 by end of season. But I also think this is a good experience for the younger guys to get a lot more PT. Those are the guys who will be important bench players for the Bobcats next season, so getting in lots of PT and experience can only help.

Oh and Jax will not get that 16th Tech and get suspended a game. That is good also.

Ouch. This is Jax's only injury that caused him to miss significant time in recent memory.

Happy to have Jax sit. If we're going to do this, let's do it right. Let's flush this season once and for all.
