Two questions: first, why Oden? People in portland hardly respect that guy. Two, why no Roy?
Roy and/or his agent pretty much threw workouts with Bobcats to avoid being chosen by them. It worked and we ended up with Morrison instead.
Fair enough. Half of hte Portland board wanted AMO at the time since he was a local guy (kindof, Spokane Washington is close enough). Thank the lord they didn't get their wish

Two, why no Roy?

For those of you who have the Blazers feed - do you need me or Sachmo to translate the Mills post game for you?

Thank God we didn't otherwise we would have unmarketable "superstar" whom sounds like he just sucked up a helium balloon with two bum knees on a max contract

I would have still taken Roy - I just wouldn't have given him that crazy extension.

On the voice thing - have you ever seen a movie called Mo Money?

Well knowing Roy's current health issues, Gay was probably the right pick. Considering we wouldn't be that incompetent as Mephis and offered him far les money than they did. But still it is Ammo from all of them who has two rings already. .)
