They have gyms in Europe too. Believe it or not.

The Balkans have outstanding strength and weight training programs. I don't know where you get your info from, but it's not correct at all.

Jan Vesely has been playing very well. Today, there has been no exception.

He has 23 points and 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. His season is done in EL however.

Anyone think there will be problems coming over with his contract?

Watched him play Real Madrid. Guy looked like a Shawn Marion/Kevin McHale hybrid. Some of the best low post moves I have seen in a decade or 2. It was just 1 game but he was a man among boys.

For kids that age yes. he did the dream shake, McHale up and under move, a sweet fade away jumper and a nice spin move. He also has a very high release ala Alex English. The guy played like an 80s SF and that means he has a ton of polish.

I watched the game and I could have sworn I was watching a rookie Kevin McHale.

This is by a mile best detailed scouting report on Veselý http://www.in-the-game.org/?p=6979 Written almost a year ago but aside his role in Partizan has changed, it should be spot on. Stats and explanations what causes them included.

I was wondering earlier how Vesely compares to Perry Jones. He is probably just as athletic, although perhaps a bit less strong. Jones however is usually lauded for his ability to play the game like a wing, and I think Vesely is at least as well developed in this regard. Both are 6'11", but Vesely looks longer than Jones. I also think that Vesely looks to have a much more fiery disposition than Jones, who often seems too passive.

It's the closest comparison you can give him with international players.

Yes, physically he appears to be an AK47 with a bias towards offense instead of defense.

Any recent videos of him that show off his strengths and weaknesses over a whole game?

I would switch him and JV on most mock drafts

Honestly think he could be the best player in this draft

You keep forgetting that he is also older than Valanciunas. And it just happens that such age difference is important at such time. Thats why Jonas is given more attention. He is pulling some amazing stats in the Euroleague on his rookie season while Veseley started seriously shine only now.

They both are completely different players, and styles, you cant compare them. and veseley is more ready player than JV in my opinion.

That's false. Where have you been last year?
