Double PotG post;

Team win...

Wall with 18-11-8...
Booker being an Epic of Epic Epicness on the boards...
Dray for not sucking for once and having a very good game in the progress...
Mo for shooting us back into the game...
McGee for posting a great stat-line and still being capable of looking bad on the court...
Team for being down 13 in rebounds, then stepped it up and ending only -4...

Oh, and Flip for being blamed... Can't forget that, now can we...?? :)

Oh and Pine, for locking hands thread even though his was created first...

I gotta go with Flip. He was coaching with a heavy heart and still made a great call to have Booker and Evans on the floor in the 4th quarter. Those two share second place, and Wall is a very strong third.

haven't voted potg but posting more about walls rebound numbers in light of rondo, kidd and westbrooks. wall said thre bigs boxed out so he got to the rebounds. rondo is fast, westbrook as well plus athletic, kidd is big and wall has all three. we should box out more for him to give us an edge on rebounding. it is very possible to do so. thats what i've learnt from todays game

NOTE (from Bullets Forever): Booker had the stomach flu and Flip was actually planning to start him tonight. Was pulled in the first because it got worse as the game went on.

I was wondering why Flip waited so long to play Booker more. I was expecting him to start and then he wasn't even playing. Now we know why and what was actually planned.

Wow. Booker did that and he was sick.

Post game interview: I also caught that Flip said he was talking to EG about some things.

Me things, Booker is starting next game at PF

He was on the verge of exploding all night. It was just a matter of when to use that to the team's advantage.

1) Booker for coming in and inspiring the team to take control
2) Wall, good game and picked things up in the 4th
3) Saunders, coached a good game with a heavy heart

Booker was clearly the player of the game. Prior to the two dunks over Mr. 20/20, the team was just doing their usual - one-on-one idiotic plays coupled with the occasional good teamwork play. NOTHING indicated that they would actually go ahead and coast to a rare win. After Booker did his thing (which happened like 30 feet in front of me - definitely my highlight of the season), the crowd, which was dead the whole game, became totally energized and the Wizards started playing like they had Tiger Blood in their veins.

In short, the attitude of the team after the dunks was like, "Duh, Winning!"

Had Booker not had those two amazingly timed dunks, Wall would have continued to get frustrated (he was already in on-on-one mode by that point) and Blatche's and Evan's pretty nice game might have gone to waste.
