Okay, so the Wizards didn't stop Minnesota's Kevin Love's double-double streak. But a win - a short-handed one at that - still feels good. Representing the most powerful city in the world, YOUR Washington Wizards travel to the Motor City for a game versus the Pistons.

Much has been written about the Piston's semi-mutiny a few days ago. Wizards alum G Rip Hamilton has been in the center of much of the soap opera.

As for the line-ups, below, there are a couple of notes:

-- Wizards G Nick Young missed Saturday night's game with flu-like symptoms. He's still in the starting line-up because...well, frankly pure hope on my part.

-- I have no idea what the Pistons line-up will be, given the mutiny of players, etc. Hopefully, this is close.

-- We keep thread Good Luck Charm Shakira for this game, but change up some photos and the song of the game.

THE ONE TO WATCH

Image
Wizards F Trevor "No Neck" Booker

The Wizards' reserve forward seems to be finding his niche. He's the tough, high-energy guy who'll do the dirty work and guard physical bigs in the paint. Recently, Booker has had very good 4th quarters, let's see if he can bring his skills to the Motor City and close out the Pistons.

OK - Hands or whoever else on this board

After we win - and we WILL win (crossing fingers), go ahead and make a POG thread. I'll be on a plane.

I want to tell you why I locked Hands'.

1) I was making one.

2) This is the real reason: I take POG threads seriously. They stem from a really good guy - WizStorm - and he did them well. I think about WizStorm every time I see a POG thread.

Don't throw a slapped-together POG thread just for the sake of trying to be first. That's irritating, just like blog commenters who rush in and whose only comment is "First".

If you're going to do a POG thread, do it right as part of WizStorm's legacy. There better be some stats, etc, generally some art/photos of the nominees, and a lot of nominees to for board members to vote on.

Okay?

Go Wizards.

Who know :o

Not like you were posting in the game thread you started. It was me and TRH in there mostly. How could you call that rushing to make one? I didn't even know anyone else was watching. Certainly not you or that you were making one. I thought I was doing the board a favor.

As for how I do it. Like game threads and the jiggy, everyone does them differently. If you want to dress it up in memory of Wizstorm, more power to you. But with all do respect, mandating how a POTG thread is created sounds like a bit much.

Wicox is the one with the pleasant smile. Monroe has been beastin' the last 7 games - averaging 15.9 points on 59% shooting and 10.7 rebounds - maybe the only bright spot for Johnny K. There's some talent on their roster, but they have too many tudes. I'm surprised by Joey D's lack of overall vision - though he's made some good draft picks (after his Darko daze).

And avoid tying for the worst road record in NBA history. Come on Wizards, you did it once already, and here again you can blow your chance at immortality.

Ive also been saying the Dray at 5, Book at 4 thing. Even if you dont start it, why dont we see it more? It never makes any sense to me. They take McGee out & bring Seraphin in when I thought Book & Dray were the perfect matchup for teams like the Warriors and someone else we recently played. I just dont get Flip's & Randy's rotations. Thats why they have to go. Dont get me wrong, you have to play Seraphin too as he's playing well but lets see more of the Dray-Book combo

Dray at 5 and Booker at 4 sounds like an excellent starting lineup to try today.

If Booker still has the stomach flu, he might leave it all on the floor.

Detroit is a bad match-up for the Wizards, but we'll see how it goes. I hope Booker is playing tonight.

No Nasty Daddy is gone. The Mods said he couldnt keep posting his articles but was free to post other things but I guess he didn't want to. He's been gone for a while.

Wow. Didn't see that one coming. But from what I remember, he never really chimed in much with input throughout his time here. He really just posted articles. Obsessively.

Let's be truthful, we struggled to get-by Minny who were playing on a B2B and w/o Darko. Let's keep things tanktastic.

 Yeah, just keep it close guys.

Best-case scenario: We lose on a Detroit buzzer beater.

Worst-case scenario: We win on a buzzer beater.
