Season 1 didn't have multiple episode story arcs either. They were all one offs. Recurring themes such as new daughter Lilly, Dylan the boyfriend, etc.. appeared throughout season one. And season two. I just don't notice much of a difference I guess (shrug).

First episode of Breakout Kings tonight was ok. Predictable and implausible but I'll give it more episodes, can't judge on just one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Some shows definitely need time to develop. Often the pilot is written months before the other episodes and it shows. In the case of Breakout Kings the pilot was written in summer of 2009, filmed in early 2010 for Fox and then Fox sold the show to A&E.

I'm really interested in breakout kings might be worth getting now rather then waiting for it to come out over here if it does.

Modern family season two is equally as good to me love it.

I've been watching all the seasons of That Mitchell and Webb Look on Netflix. They just released the seasons past number 1 on streaming versions. Its pretty solid for sketch comedy.

Had some downtime this weekend so I started to watch The Office. Never saw an episode before this weekend...

I think it's a little overrated as a show, but it's not too bad.

Sheen finally officially fired.

I thought the Office was ok in the beginning but not great, then it hit it's stride. Now it sucks again, I stopped watching

The Office has been a bit of a roller coaster of a series. The current season has been pretty hit or miss, some episodes are good some are not. I think the show could be rejuvenated when Carrell leaves after this season, but I could also see it completely fall apart.

I can't believe they even considered keeping the show going without Carrell. He's the only reason for the show -- not that some of the other characters aren't funny, but they can't support a series. NBC is delusional. Not as weird as ABC clinging to Scrubs after the creator and most of the cast left, but still weird.

I heard that WIll Ferrell is making a 4-episode cameo as the new boss once Michael leaves, but not going to remain on after the four. I think he could be funny in that role because it would be the type of comedy he is good at.

The Office was great through season 3 or 4 don't remember which one started the decline, this season has been better than the last couple but not as good as seasons 2/3.

I actually really enjoyed the Todd Packer episode. He's one of my all time favorite cameos on the show, glad they brought him back before Carrell leaves.

I think this season has been really good. They've basically phased Jim/Pam out in favor of more Andy, Darrell and Erin.
