Oklahoma City Thunder @ Memphis Grizzlies 03/07/2011

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Mon Mar 7, 2011 10:19 pm

Another tough road game.

The Grizzlies are playing some inspired ball, and even though we've got a revamped frontcourt, the Grizzlies have a Tony Allen / Shane Battier two headed monster to throw at Kevin Durant. Zach Randolph will still be effective against Serge Ibaka, and Marc Gasol is always a handful. I think were going to need another strong showing from James Harden in order to pull this one out.

It's on the road, so we don't have much of a chance on paper. Randolph will continue to destroy us even with Green gone.

Durant better hope Battier is on him, because Tony Allen eats him for lunch. We need huge games from Westbrook and Harden offensively. On defense we need to be locked in and focused.

This will be a good game to get Aldrich some minutes. Not one of those nights you want to see Durant at PF for any length of time.

I think I'm going to play a drinking game.

Every time Brooks sends out a small ball rotation I'll take a drink. How drunk am I about to get?

Wasn't the last game against the grizz a turnover nightmare? Yeah, bet that happens again.

Nazr has to play 30 tonight. Thunder need Ibaka-Nazr to get most of the minutes.

Go BIG for once Brooks. It's not gonna kill you.

Harden is awesome. KD really needs a game or two off, he does not look right.

I don't know what has happened to Harden's three point shot, but the rest of his game is so good lately.

he's reeeeaaaaally streaky with it in a long term kind of way

but yeah it isn't concerning, he's learned how to finish his mid range has improved and he's getting touches now with green gone

Harden's been awesome. Russ and KD are not passing in this game.

I'm just going to hope getting Perkins back will mean Brooks feels obligated to play his big men so we don't go small ball so much.

At this point Brooks is play Nazr about as much as he did Krstic.

Harden has not had a shot attempt since Durant and Westbrook came in. They are not playing team basketball.

Also, shame on Brooks for going small against the Grizzlies. Just unacceptable.

James Harden no shot attempts after Westbrook comes in. Brooks goes small for no reason. Just an awful turnaround.

What frustrates me the most it's the fact that Thunder has almost no chance to get rid of this #$%#@#$ Scott Brooks.
