Looks mostly like Gortat is the future and starter, and puts Lopez coming off the bench,So what does PHX want for him??

What does everyone see in Lopez? He just seems CLUELESS out there. He's got the size and potential (I guess), but I just don't feel his heart is in basketball. Am I the only one?

I see no emotion from him out there. He doesn't seem to know what's going on at any given time. For some reason, he likes to stand directly under and behind the backboard, thus guaranteeing he will not grab a rebound. Even the smallest, weakest of players simply push him out of the way.

I swear this is a totally different person than we saw last year right before the playoffs. Am I crazy or has anyone else noticed this stuff? It's disappointing because last year I thought we'd finally found our 7-foot big man of the future. Now I feel we've got a crazy haired, long sock wearing, clueless 3 year player that can somehow air ball (short, no less!) a 1 foot jump shot. :-?

Hawks just needs his defense and give us a way to move Horford to a more natural position. Obviously PHX doesn't think he is not productive with his minutes and the Gortat acquisition,so what about Zaza and a 2nd.

I don't know what happened to Lopez. He looks terrible out there, maybe he was like this last year and it was all Amare making him look good.

I guess I don't remember how "good" he was. He's never been a rebounder. He's a decent defender in that he's not afraid to use his fouls. I think Gentry uses him pretty well. I also think we'd be wise to trade him this summer in a package to net us a two guard. We're one 25 year old Vince Carter away from the Finals.

u hit it right on the head. Lopez was never as good as the suns organization wanted him to become. Amare made him not as needed on offense and made him seem good on defense. If nash is going to be traded on draft day, I think Lopez should be drafted as well. Lopez needs a player like a nash to make him look productive.

I was thinking Nash, and Lopez for Calderon and their first. Let's Barg's play pf on offense, which he's better suited to, get's them out of Calderon's contract, and brings home Cpt. Canada. We draft someone awesome. With how high it will be I'd want Enes Kanter

So Lopez + Orlando pick (ours will go to Houston) to any top 10 lottery team that needs size desperately. Lopez might not be that bad next to a rebounding machine like Love. Then we roll the dice again. Normally people wouldnt give up a top 10 pick for a Lopez quality center, but there arent many good centers so some team could be over a barrell and this isnt considered to be a very strong draft. Throw in the fact that they still get the Orlando pick and we start Lopez still to inflate his trade value IMO.

Gortat is too solid the writing is on the wall.

young centers with potential are hard to come by so I think we would atleast need a 1st for him, i also like the idea and think we will trade him in some package to move up in the draft to get a PG

Earlier, the Hawks would have gladly given you Josh Smith for Nash and Lopez. Ya waited too long.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

1st round drat pick for him n its a deal. I don't think Lopez has the passion for basketball to make be a big interest in his life.

So, you think we'd get a decent 7' center with that pick?

Robin's not exactly tearing up the league or anything, but he's definitely not bad. In streaks, he's actually really good, and in other streaks he's on the low end of centers in the league who still play decent enough to get minutes.
