If only it's that easy to find a Dwight Howard.

Almost every team in this league needs size. Unfortunately, we're in an era where dominant bigs are rare even if they're only dominant on one side of the game. Offense or Defense.

If we can get Andrew Bogut or Al Horford for free, that's awesome. They would help againts the Lakers. But the centers that have been suggested such as Sam Dalembert or Troy Murphy? Yes we need size, but we need size that can actually do something againts the Lakers. Not just some tall guy. Dalembert won't even be able to contain Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum. Or else, everybody would be lining up to get this guy. It's not like he's untouchable out there in Sacramento.

The one thing LA has over everybody in the league is size. It's not likely we can do anything to match up with that size. I personally think if anybody beat the Lakers, it's the Lakers themselves. Kobe chucking, Bynum injured, Artest going crazy. I doubt it's going to be something anybody does to them. It'll be something self-inflicted.

Hopefully next year Phil retires. Then, atleast we have a huge advantage when it comes to coaching.

Right now, it's hard to see. When both is motivated, LA has the advantage on both offense and defense.

No offense OP, but I can't stand this reactionary BS based off one game. If you're going to be like that because of getting drilled by LA, how about the beatdown we inflicted on the Heat less than 48 prior? What does that win mean?

It's one game of 82. We've only lost 12 times with our collection of bigs. But like co says, quality bigs are few and far between in today's game. The Lakers lucked into being able to pair Bynum and Gasol.

What do the other contenders have? OKC got Perk, Ibaka, Collison, Mohammed. Not bad, not enough to slow LA. Dallas got Chandler, Haywood, Dirk. Good but not great. Portland have Camby, Aldridge -- nice but Camby's old and fragile.

And we've got TD, Blair, Bonner, Dice and Splitter. It's not perfect but it's kept us on top of the conference for most of the season.

No need for these knee jerk threads. Last time i checked we're 2-1 on the season vs the Lakers. fact is they played the most perfect game possible against us, no shame in losing to a team when they just can't miss and we just can't make a shot. It was a perfect storm for them. I have no doubt next time we'll be the ones ready to destroy them,. We'll be fine.

Look when I said we need size its the truth I said it a month ago. Im a die hard fan and one blowout dosent get me down and out I was a fan before Mr Robinson came to town. And the heat blowout they are weak in the front court as well they cant contain Blair let alone Bonner. Im just saying if it come down to a seven game series in the WCF vs a healthy Laker team it will be monster games from Bynum and Gasol thats all im saying. I dont know where this size is going to come from your right its not out there. Even if you look at Dallas, OKC, and Memphis its not just the center that there big at the sg on up. Once agian Im a die hard SPURS fan love this team win or lose. Just think we will have a long Playoff run if we can figure out how to use our front court better.

Well it was one game like DK and Magz have already said. The Lakers put together a pretty good performance the other night but the fact is we've already beat them twice this year.

It was just a loss. The Spurs need to exploit their speed next time. As far as the East, i don't think the Lakers could beat the Heat in a 7 game series. The Heat surprisingly have the bigs to do enough to negate the Laker's bigs. I was skeptical until they played the Lakers both games. Also, Wade > Kobe at this point in their careers.
