Hallelujah. I am fine with this, in fact i'm happy. It's like dating a girl for too long and not really knowing WTF she wants, then she comes out and says "i'm lesbian".

Now we know where we're going, without all our hopes and dreams being held captive for the rest of the season. Time to start talking seriously about who we want in the draft. We have a better shot at getting a top 3 pick now.

BYE BYE playoffs, hello top 3 draft pick...hopefully.

I called this after the trade but folks thought I was being negative, glass half full, etc. I can understand why many wanted to continue to believe; but you can't make a deal like that, lose your top player, replace him with bench riders & role players.

Look, we've got to tank and tank big, and hope the Hornets land us 2 picks in the lottery. Gotta get a big time player or 2 via the draft, and hope to make a quality trade sometime. I do hope that DJ White and Cunningham can help us in seasons to come (and I think they will contribute). Pryz could surprise and stay around a couple years as a reserve. But we MUST get one impact player in this draft.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Yes you did, kudos to you. I was actually hoping MJ would make a trade for an upgrade at C like....ohh i don't know Chris "Caveman" Kaman.

I agree totally. The talent in this years draft just isn't that deep. We really need to get a top 5 pick this year.

It's the East, we still can.

I actually didn't know that we're only 1 win behind the Pacers. It seems like a month ago they were winning every game and we couldn't get by them to get in that 8th spot. Now we have started to tank and they still are just in front of us.

Hey guys, Is Jackson most likely to sit for the remainder of the season?

From what Silas said, it sounded like a couple of games. But with hamstrings you never know. I still think that if we stay within a game when Tyrus comes back, we will try to make one final push and go for it all. In that scenario i think they would bring Jack back with Tyrus even if he wasn't 100 percent. If we drop off in the next week, then I don't think they will rush Jack back and he coudl very well just be shut down for the year. haha, idk if that really answeres your question though. But from what we know now for sure is that Silas said a couple games.

This is actually going to pay off for this team long term. The problem is will teams like the Pistons or Wizards be able to pass us. I'm sure the Bucks will but I wish we started this tank job like 2 months ago. We were on nice pace while LB was still here, lol.

I think that if he finished the season, it would have hindered the progress of our actually currently on the roster players like DJ and Hendo. And Kwame. Draft picks are nice and all, but what's the point of having them if they're going to be mentally ravaged by an old man?

Playoffs? For what? get abused on national television by the Celtics or the Heat?

Basketball? For what? You can't win every game, so why even try?

An extra 2 games worth - and well attended ones, too - of revenue for the team and national exposure. It might seem lame, and most fans will forget the Bobcats were in the playoffs by the time June rolls around, but it's still something.

Jack might return on Wednesday, and Tyrus as well. Let's be real here: their record isn't bad enough to really position themselves for a high lottery chance, and it's still close enough to the playoff chase. They'll be pursuing the latter.

When i think about it this years draft that seems to be weak, a playoff push might be good.

Speaking of Jackson, I flipped it to ESPN for a few minutes today and they were discussing Dwight Howard's 16th technical and his one game suspension.

Jackson has 14 technical fouls this year. Two more and he's out a game.

Over/Under on getting that one game suspension this year?
