The official I don't want Jazz to win any game more in 10-11

Post#1 » by FJS » Tue Mar 8, 2011 5:38 pm

I want this team to tank, or at least play only young prospects and forget all the vets.
Hayward, Favors, last chance to Fessenko, Evans have to see PT.

I'm fine if we finish 33-49 and we have Nets and our own pick in the top 10.

And... I don't like Corbin.

Screw that. It's all about the playoffs. It's a long-shot now, but I ALWAYS want to be in the post-season if possible.

I want the Jazz to win as many games as possible and I want to see Favors get as many minutes as possible (Before he fouls out) and for Hayward to start and play tons of minutes. None of these goals contradicts each other.

I want the Jazz to be in the games, losing like we did against the Knicks is unacceptable, but yes I prefer losing games right now and getting some good lottery position. Remember, if we make the playoffs we look our first round pick to the Wolves, if we keep it, it may be the 12th pick, which is pretty decent.

I don't want to tank, simply because I can never root for my team to lose.......

But, if we happen to play our young players to give them much needed experience, and we happen to lose a lot of games doing it, that's not technically tanking, and I would have no problem with us doing that.......

I don't think it matters whether or not you want to tank. Players and coaches seem to still have that playoff mentality. I know that sounds ridiculous after last nights loss.

I prefer to make the playoffs to give Favors and Hayward a taste of playoff basketball. I also would like the playoffs so Jefferson can finally get there. BUT

I actually think the best way to do that is play the young guys. Hayward and Favors to start with Millsap and Bell to the bench.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Sign me up for the quasi-tank mode, otherwise known as play the young guys as much as possible. Its sad that this season turned into a complete waste...but while it is a waste, we should be getting Hayward, Favors, Fesenko, and other guys as much burn as possible. I still think Fes could be a HUGE asset to this team with a little more development....you just dont give up on 7 foot mammoths as athletic and game-changing on the defensive end as he is....

We need a shooter badly. Anyone that can make a damned open shot.

We aren't going to make the playoffs. We have a very tough schedule, we're on the outside looking in, and we're completely beat up.

Start Hayward, have Favors playing 25 minutes a night as our 6th man, and see who belongs on this team next season, and where we need to look to add talent in the draft.

Start Hayward, play Favors alot. Play Fesenko alot and Evans more, too. Next year, Fesenko, Price, Watson, Elson are all gone. Trade Bell, Okur and Miles and only sign Kirlinko for a 4 million a year contract. The jazz need 5 to 6 new athletic players who can shoot next year. New Jersy #1, Our #1, our #2 and players we recieve back for bell, Miles and Okur + free agents. A new look for corbin to work with.

The thing is, we are trying to make playoff and we are like 6-15 in the second half of the season. So, we aren't good enough. So we have a good chance to make us better and rebuild in only one season.
Spurs, Mavs or Lakers are going to give us a 4-0 in the first round.

I don't want to tank because I like winning and there isn't a ton of good players in the draft that are huge difference makers.

Yeah play the young guys. Then I can still get excited to watch for their development during games without being destroyed every time they lose. Package our picks, if necessary, to get Kryie Irving. If we can't, draft Derrick Williams and the Jimmer (yeah I know, it's a risk, but a risk with upside). GET RID of Miles and Bell, unless you plan on having Bell play a supporting role in limited minutes off the bench.
