Blue Jays interested in Slowey? (Rumour)

JoeCStrib (Covers the Twins for the Star Tribune)

Blue Jays had 3 scouts watching B-game, one with a video camera. I'm told they like Slowey and have relievers to spare. #stribtwins

I actually really like him, but I have a feeling Listch will give us better production over the course of a full season. I suppose his ceiling is higher though, given his solid four-pitch repertoire with good command and all.

Slowey is intriguing. Especially if you don't have to give up future pieces.

If the Jays end up acquiring him, I would think it's a precursor to another trade.

All for Slowey, depending who we give up of course. He would be a good 4th -5th roto pitcher.

Slowey can be a quality end of the rotation guy. How many controllable years is pretty important though. If you can get him for some relief excess, I'm all for it.

I wonder what it would take to get:

Slowey, Lirano, and Nishioka

Yeah, it might be. But, If we do get Slowey I really hope Frasor is in the deal and Camp isn't.

BTW, are we allowed to trade players that just re-signed? Or is there a 3 month waiting period like the NBA.
