Yes, for me both have talent to be top 10 players but won't get there cause of what's missing upstairs. And I'd rather have Perry for the same reason I'd rather have Lamar Odom than Derrick Coleman. I don't think you win with guys like Cousins or Coleman. You don't win with guys like Perry leading you or getting the big shots.. but in a reduced role with the pressure off, they can be huge. And I'd this point I'd give Perry a higher chance of finding his the man instinct than I would Cousins becoming a title character guy...

Perry Jones is an athletic freak, why would we want him on our team? He won't fit in.

Do people here actually watch basketball? Perry Jones? REALLY? You want to talk about buying into HS hype? Congratulations, you've read a few scouting reports on his potential. Cousins is by far the superior player, its silly to even compare the two. I like Perry Jones as a prospect, I think he will become a very serviceable player in the NBA, but he does nothing for our need of defense and 3pt shooting. He plays the 4/5 at Baylor, getting many of his points off put backs and opportunities around the rim. Sure he'll shoot a jump shoot every now and again but that's not his game, and maybe that is because it's not the way Baylor uses him. As a huge college basketball fan that has watched many of the top prospects on several occasions I find this thread incredibly frustrating to read.

^^ Perrys dope regardless of what people say. He's just like Barnes. Crazy hyped in H.S while not exceeding expectations. Who's fault is that? The medias. Anyways with that said. I love DeMarcus Cousins. Him and Monroe are the real surprises in the last draft.

Don't laugh at someones opinion on a player. Who's to say that your right? You could be on that Charlie Sheen. Anyways I think Perry is a solid prospect. Is he better than Tjones or Barnes? That's yet to be seen. We'll have a better idea within the coming weeks.

Yeah, Monroe has looked solid. He's been averaging 14.3/9 this month. I would be very open to dealing our pick (Kyrie protected, of course) for Monroe. Him and Ed could make a very solid starting frontcourt.

Yes, I definitely consider Monroe a full-time C. He was 6'11", 247 in shoes at the draft (with a 7'2.25" wingspan), and I think the way he plays is best suited to the C position. I like his ability to pass out of the post, and his face-up game gives him some matchup advantages against other C's (without being deficient in his responsibilities as a C).

His draft stock won't be affected. Hell Kyrie was out nearly the whole season and will probably still be picked first overall. If anything this might be good for Jones, he won't expose anymore of his weaknesses and will be picked based on potential.

Well, if Baylor is appealing you wait for the end of that process, otherwise he might as well declare for the draft and start doing pre-draft work - like weightlifting and working on specific weaknesses. Also, pick an agent. He's a top 3 pick no matter what.
