I saw that trailer last year. Very cool. And the new game looks great. MK2 is still the best IMO.

I'd like to direct you to Mortal Kombat Trilogy. That, Jenny McCarthy, and Gushers got me through grade school

MK is my fav game of all-time. I've been waiting on a proper reboot for years and we're finally going to get it!!
Also the new MK game is AMAZING. I've got the demo on my PS3 and I was blown away. Will definitely be buying it April 19

Re: ot:Mortal Kombat Spinoff WEB SERIES spinoff of short movie..
I'm dying to grab the new MK reboot. The game looks like a throwback to the older versions that I really loved. MK2 is still the best in the series to me. I wish they'd put more hidden characters in the Krypt like they did on Xbox though.
As for the youtube vids, that's cool. I'd prefer a legitimate movie after the trailer last year. It could OBVIOUSLY work and make a great movie. Hell, the original is a campy but great to me.
MVC and MK were my two favorite Series...with Soul Caliber just behind those two. So this year is amazing for me as a fighting game head.

Ok, so this is probably a stupid question...but why not ask - not 100% certain I'm correct.
I found a workout that I want to do that I've heard really good reviews on if you follow it (nutrition included). I followed the workouts before but didn't really know much about the nutrition factor, so even though all my lifts went up and I got stronger, it's not as much as it could have been. It says that you need to have 30-40 "good fats" per day. Given the other nutrition requirements in the plan (carb cycling/high protein), I thought that would be pretty hard to do. So my question is, does the author mean 30-40 grams of fat the entire day (because that's pretty much impossible), or does he just mean 30-40 grams of GOOD fats (omega 3/6/9 fats and peanuts for example)?
The quote is "On non-workout days I'd go low-carb with a protein intake of 1.75 to 2.0 grams per pound of bodyweight, 30-40 grams of good fats and less than 75 grams of carbs. These days will allow the individual to stay lean and even get leaner."
The article is - http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_art ... ood_muscle
Thib, the guy whos "superhero workout" I will be following, wrote another article on carb cycling and he wrote that the person should get 33 grams of fat (along with the other nutrition requirements in the diet) if you are looking to cut (kind of what I'm trying to do). He said if you're looking to put on mass, you should eat 121 grams of fat per day (not doing that because I'm not trying to bulk up). He wrote the following, "n the case of our endomorphic bodybuilder who should consume 2716kcals/day to get ripped, we come up with 2420kcals from proteins and carbs, so he has around 300kcals to consume in the form of fat, or 33g/day."
http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_art ... ling_codex
So, if I'm reading what he wrote correctly, the 33 grams of fat that he talks about is just the good fats, correct? I should still be getting other fats from the protein sources (shakes for example) and carb sources (oatmeal/whole wheat bread for example), correct?
Thanks in advance and sorry if the grammar isn't perfect...really tired from studying and lifting.
Also, the workout is really good...if you're looking to get stronger/get toned, you should do it. Just adjust the diet accordingly - that's what I'm doing. 6'4.5, 195...I wanna stay that at that weight, just get more defined/bigger lol (no drugs though).
Side question, do you HAVE to refrigerate peanut butter after you open it?

Basically this is the sales pitch, if it gets positive reviews like the trailer did WB will pick up the movie. Each episode will be about 8-10 Minutes and be centered around 1 character per episode.
I was indifferent to Baraka and Reptile, don't know if I liked the direction they took with them or not, I was digging Micheal Jai White as Jax and the Scorpion, Johnny Cage and Sonia Characters

I don't get why they wouldn't make this movie already? It would obviously be a huge draw as Mortal Kombat has a great following, and everyone has at least heard of the series if not played it at one point in their life or another.

Re: ot:Mortal Kombat Spinoff WEB SERIES spinoff of short movie..
There's a lawsuit problem with Threshold ENT (the original rights holders to the film)
When WB purchased Midway they got the rights to MK but not the rights to the MK films
So until that lawsuit is dealt with (which will take some time) they are going to do this web series to keep the name in people's minds/generate buzz, etc.
A movie is definitely in the pipeline and will be coming, but it might not be until 2013 or so because of Threshold.
Lawrence Kasanoff had the rights to the movies since 1995 and he hasn't done ANYTHING with the material since the abysmal sequel in 1997. They were going to put a movie called Mortal Kombat: Devastation into production with a director named Mink at the helm, but that has since fallen through.
WB will end up winning the lawsuit and gaining the rights to the film or they will find a way to work out a joint venture with Threshold because the greedy Kasanoff will do everything it takes to draw out this process to squeeze out a few pennies

Just remembered I carried Peanut Butter with me in my cabin a few years ago, during football. Was fine without a frig as well.
