Ill preface this next rant slash wall of text with, I have never backed this dude, nor have I ever been in trouble on this board. That said, I think jwill getting in trouble for this thread is some bull ish. He called out some of the fans for being thier usual selves, and screaming how the sky was falling, and rome is burning ( chicken littles, as the Big Homie Frank would say). These cats get sensitive and start thier usual little comments, in my opinion ganging up on him with silly little stuff that shows thier past displeasure with him and people in general not agreeing with everything they say, and how they dont want other opinions. I dont think what he posted is any worse than what others snidely wrote about him, and the little (he is on my sensitive little girls club ignore list... HEY LETS ALL ADD HIM AND BE MEAN.. HA HA). I dont agree with everything he does, but this in my opinion wasnt anything. MIKLO, sorry, I know this is going to get me some negative attention from you, and I have never had a problem with you in the past, but It is my opinion, and it also involves you in my opinion on the outside looking in. These 2 or 3 other posters and Jwill start at eachother, and you warn them, but at the same time in these warnings, you quote jwill in every one of them, to him surely to him, seeming like you are also teaming up on him like the other couple guys, and it seems like you are also holding past grudges against him. I am sorry but this is my opinion Miklo, and I felt like I had to try offer my outside view of the handling of this poster and how others are baiting him into being suspended. Then when they get thier little agenda accomplished, go back to being positive Suns fans. He was right about some fans being absolutely negative and not giving the team a ,chance to adjust before they give up, so I guess I am now ignore list wortheyt for them too. SORRY MIKLO.... If im in trouble, then so be it, I believe in everything I have written.

Hmm well you don't have to worry about negative attention from me since I'm not biased...

I don't think to be quite honest that you're in as much of a position to know whether someone should get a certain outcome as I am. And II don't mean that as a "power hungry" statement, I mean that you haven't had all the past interactions, public and private, that I have had with this particular poster. Additonally knowing how RealGM interprets and enforces policies forum-wide, on which we have extensive training and exposure, plays a big part.

Second, the board was starting to get out of control. Every single thread turned into a shouting match. And it always involved a few posters but it ALWAYS involved jwil, and ended up in him calling out posters in all caps, posters that weren't even involved in the situation. The main part of this point though is, since the board was spiraling out of control I actually sat down that night and did some research, going back through every thread for the last month or so. For each "dramatic situation" I identified the instigators. Then I matched this against the progression through the month. Some people improved, showing that they understood the warnings they got and etc. Some people didn't change, and some got even worse even after numerous warnings. Of course, this was just for information as suspension and ban decisions look at the current situation as long as the poster's attitude since other interactions.

That's just a glance into the methodology and proof that needs to be present for a moderating decision to be made. It's very common for people to misunderstand what mods do, how much work it takes, and how much we get paid (zero).

We do this for the love of the game, the Suns and most importantly this board and its rich history for being a top destination for high quality Suns discussion. We do this to maintain that integrity. And frankly, look at the previous game threads and look at last night's. Last night's thread, that atmosphere was there, the comraderie. It was literally one user who would bring every situation into a pitfall. Other users involved in each interaction received disciplinary action as well, but of varying degrees.

So no I will not "have a grudge" against you in particular for publicly challenging a moderating decision, but I will plead with the general public to understand the sacrifice mods make, the amount of proof and "paperwork" that needs to go into decisions, and honestly, just how unbiased the mod team is here. Since my inception as a mod, I have taken EXACTLY the same actions for exactly the same violations. Maybe you don't like it, but it's been consistent.

Now as we move forward with zero tolerance of violations, I won't feel the need to constantly defend myself, but I'm just doing so now since you publicly challenged the situation and I want people to understand how seriously we take fairness and peacefulness. At the end of the day though, our decisions are unilateral. RealGM does not involve member voting, they entrust moderators by using an intensive interview process and tests on how you would react in different situations, relative to the nature of the board.

So that another game thread that was going very well doesn't pitfall, if you would like to continue to challenge this or other situations, please contact me via PM.

Thanks for the response and explination, you are right I have no Idea how much goes into investigating and suspending a poster, though I still feel the other posters played a huge part in this. I have noticed the infighting, and personal attacks, and some posters lack of ability to contain themselves and know you have to feel put on the spot in many of these childish spats. Thanks for the work and I am sure everyone.... well, almost everyone  apreciates you. THANKS!!!

Nice effort.

+1

Gortat with 16 boards,

Hak passing out of the double team, hitting jumpers - really has upped his game tremendously

Good stuff yall

Thanks. Being a Suns fan is fun, and we needed this win to keep us in that playoff race. There's a lot of cool guys here on this board, and I just want us all to be rooting for the whole team as we fight for the playoffs.

Hope you're gonna stick around if Vince leaves - you're the game thread king

Lastly, I had to watch the game in the a.m. again, fast-forwarding through stoppages and timeouts, commercials etc, as I'm working at the same time

There was some speculation Sarver was tossed? Has an owner ever been chucked? If so, I bet it was Cuban

and did I somehow miss a Dudley dunk?

anyway, I wanted to say for RvM and the other Vince followers that it is unfair that VC gets little recognition for his last couple of games, while we all cheer til we're hoarse for Hak, even me, who was his most vocal critic here. It's not fair, but it's the downside of being Vince carter and making $17m per year. If he scores 30 we want to know why he doesn't do it all the time -

Hak we don;'t expect big things from, not on the same level. We think he's giving great value when he scores half that

and finally, at the risk of starting a lynch mob .... part of me isn't very concerned about making the playoffs. I don;'t see how we get past the first round if we do, but if we don't, I think it means the FO has to make a serious attempt to bring some missing pieces here. making the playoffs gives them justification not to ...

just a thought

Not that I saw, lol.

As for jwillb, I think people are not realizing that it's not what he was saying about Suns basketball that was the problem as much as the way it was presented. Incoherent, childish, and inarticulate, to say the least. Then calling out others incessantly....you don't win any sympathy from anyone when you do that. Maybe he can try to use the internet again after he matures and takes a typing class.

While he made a decent amount of them, i cringe every time Hakim takes a jumpshot. He leans back and kicks his legs out. its a horrible stance and he shouldnt be doing anything other than attacking the rim. I would rather see three charges and a missed dunk than 4 more 17-foot fadeaways

Honestly, I don't really care weather a damn veteran like -SDU- insulted me and BH, I really don't think Miklo would've reacted any differently.

Hakim Warrick from that game. I agree, that jumper looks quite terrifying.
