CJ Miles 5 games as a starter

Post#1 » by TDIDDY » Thu Mar 10, 2011 4:21 am

CJ as a starter this year is averaging.

36 min per game
19.0 points a game
37-87 42.5 fg% 8-22 36.3% pointers
5.2 reb per game
2.8 dimes per game

You guys are telling me we dont have a starting 2/3 waiting to bloom why cant TY see this CJ needs to be in the starting line-up for hell sakes.

Who wouldnt be happy with 19 ppg 5 rpg?? CJ is the X factor for this team Ty needs to bench Raja and let him be the full time SG and swing hime to the 3 when AK goes to the bench and the Rookie comes in

Meaningless small sample size. I could find 5 random games where he came off the bench that make him look even better.

Go back to the tell end of last year when he was the starter at the 2/3 with Matthews this kid needs to be a starter...... You guys want more time for your Rookie then its time to let Raja go to the bench and be the cheer leader hes had enough of this season to produce and he hasnt done anything to EARN a starting role so why does he still have it? CJ has proven he deserves it over Raja and the Rookie!

Is 42.5% a... strength... for the argument?

If he shot less from the perimeter he would be an asset. As-is he is too hit or miss for my tastes.

I have a better idea! How about we cut him?!?! Not from the team but actually cut him so he can never play basketball ever again. Sorry, should of clarified that at the beginning.

Well then just who do you want to start?? What are your Rookie stats damn no where close to 19.0 per game or 5.2 reb a game? I'll take the 42% shooting if yoiur going to give me almost 20 points a night.

LOL! Obviously not. He hasn't been playing anywhere near the same minutes, and he's not a chucker.

Anyway, as Happy already explained, this is a ludicrous sample size you've chosen. Are you just going to dismiss the fact that he's been absolute garbage almost every game in recent memory?

Not that I like Miles, but I'm wondering if he has been hurt...

I'm all for benching Raja but CJ??? until that boy learns to run the offense no thank you. Allen Iverson scored a lot of points too, but took tons of offensive opportunities to get there.

That being said I would rather see CJ start then Raja. But better yet I would rather see Hayward start over both of them. Go Big... Devon, Hayward, AK (when healthy), Sap (When healthy), BigAl. You add more defense to the court to help get games started right, and you put someone in that actually tries to run the offense. And I do think he could stay in front of most 2 guards in the league.

My problem with CJ isn't that he shoots 42%. My problem with CJ is that he is just plain dumb when it comes to basketball.

He'd shoot well over 50% if he could just pull his head out, and not take fade away 3's with 20 seconds on the clock. Those are the things that you aren't gonna find in stats.

If chucking up awful shots were counted as turnovers, CJ Miles would lead the league in turnovers. No Doubt.

The guy easily has the worst basketball IQ on the team, and has zero desire to win. CJ Miles would gladly take 20 points and a loss, over 10 points and a win. As evidenced by his play.

Yep. The FG% is really just a symptom of the fact that he's a dumbass.

I mean I noticed, at least tonight, that starting made CJ let the game come to him more naturally instead of coming in "6th man gunner mode" and jacking up shot after shot after shot

CJ had a very good game. I guess that suddenly means he wasn't complete garbage the rest of the season?

CJ runs on all confidence, i think he's going to finish the season very strong if he stays in the starting line up

Return to Utah Jazz
