I dont think Mayo is the answer.

Offense isnt our weakness. Defense is. We need a guy like Battier, Raja, or a Kittle type player. Someone that is going to guard the opposing SG or SF.

DWill, Morrow/Defensive SG, DJames/Defensive SF, Hump, Lopez is a balanced team.

So you'd like to essentially keep the same roster as this year, adding only two scrub defensive wings? What that is is a **** team, it probably goes .500. And to be clear, offense and defense are both weaknesses for this team.

I think you might have a distorted view of OJ's game, ecuhus1981. Technically he is slightly undersized for the two, but when you watch him it's clear he is very natural and comfortable there. He's a 6'4 guy that looks and plays like he's 6'6, as opposed to someone like Ben Gordon whose 6'3 and looks and plays like he's 6'0. What about Mayo's game makes you think he doesn't contribute to winning basketball? Mayo isn't a JR Smith/Jamal Crawford type (both great players if utilized correctly, but also very disruptive ones in terms of running team offense). He is a very composed, in control player who can play both off the ball and on. There's no question in my mind he would flourish starting next to Deron. And defensively I haven't heard raves coming out of Memphis but I don't think he's been particularly bad either. I remember him shutting down both point guards and wings at USC, but the level jump/change of atmosphere probably means those days are forever gone.

One thing's for sure, whether Mayo is the answer or not, this team needs more ball-handling and driving ability at the wings. We currently do not have a 2 or 3 that has even a passable NBA handle. Morrow, James, Outlaw, Graham are all absolutely abysmal, Sasha's slightly better but not much. It makes it very difficult to run offense when your wings are not threats to drive the basketball.

Am I the only one mildly interested in signing Prince? He can handle the ball, plays great defense can shoot the three and attacks the rim. He'd fit in perfectly.

I would love to sign Tayshaun to a reasonable deal. His numbers aren't that impressive, but he always seems to be a very positive force on the court. Veteran, can shoot, play D, create a little bit, knows how to play at the highest levels... I hope we give him a hard look.

Prince could be a solid fallback option.

Again age and contract length and price in relation are a major factor, along with whatever other moves through trade are out there.

I wouldn't mind Prince as a secondary signing...after we get our star. No way will he be my focus though.

I would love to get Prince. He hits big shots and chips in offensively and is very disruptive defensively. Plus the guy has been through the battles.

Obviously if he's the best player we add in the offseason, progress will be incremental so getting additional help is necessary. Considering we have 3 spots up for grabs in our starting lineup, I would be more then happy penciling him in for one of them right now.

He's still going to be 32 next season.
I don't like him for anything short of pocket change.

In less minutes on a terrible team he is still hitting his career averages. If we gave him a 2 years he would be 33 at the end of the deal. I'd have no problem with that.

I think Prince would be a nice pickup.I don't see him signing for less than 5 mill per year though.I'd rather bring VC back to be honest.

My wish for next season is a bruiser pf who wont let easy layups and instill fear in the opposing team
