I'm sorry, I love Carmelo and I think he has more of a killer instinct and is better suited for NY than LeBron, but physically & athletically, Amare-Lebron combo is just absolutely FILTHY and I just don't think any team would be able to do anything to stop them given they had the same supporting cast we have now. Just too physically imposing both offensively and defensively.

Melo is a better, more complete player. Lebron is just the better athlete... I would never trade for that career loser.

Gun to my head, as much as I hate James, having him in NYC would be pretty sweet... him next to Amare would be a force....but at this point it's about character, who wants to be here...

Melo is a true Knick now, and wanted to come here... People say "nooo! Amare wanted to come here" - well, Melo wanted just as much/ if not more... Amare was brave enough to come alone yes, but that bravery was stimulated by the 100 mill that he was getting - not by the desire to be in NYC...... As he's mentioned, he would have stayed in Phx if he was given the 100 mill there....... Melo, on the other hand, while he came after Amare, and also wanted his money, forced his way here.... While he may have given the nuggets some leverage in the 11th hour, the Nuggets only dealt with us because he wanted to come here..... and now he's here...

I'd rather beat the Miami boys and win a ring before James now than have him join us

you have to do that trade. Melo is good, but lebron is one of the top players in the game, if not the best. LBJ would make everyone better on the team. He would run the pick and role with amare better than anyone in the league. Nobody would be able to stop that.
