KCAL and CBS are the same company which is a Christian owned company from what I understand. I used to watch their news a lot for years and years until I found this out I am pretty anti religious and them running their Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner commercials non stop last year drove me crazy(I'm a Democrat). I watch the games and that's it.

KCAL is the exclusive Lakers T.V. station for AWAY games, meaning they get all of the early East coast games, which can start as early as 4:00 PM PST. With this said, we all know that they NEVER replay the games. This doesn't make any sense to me. Fox Sports West, which exclusively gets Lakers home games, does replay, although there is less need of it since games start at 7:30 PM PST. Why is it that you get no replays of the game when you would actually need it (i.e. When you're at work, and the game started too early to catch)?

Whoever thought this out really missed this, and I'm pretty glad we're changing networks next year.

KCAL was replaying unedited games late night (1am) in 2007-08. Don't know why the F they ended that. I guess more room for infomercials.

No one will blame you after having to listen to gravel road throat Johnny and then Heinsohn.

So this thread finally got me to stop being cheap and bite the bullet for an HD box.

Come to find out neither FSN or KCAL are offered in HD here :nonono:

At least the national games are :)

Speaking of this, how come Joel was chosen at Chick's replacement? Spero did a magnificent job in interim.

Joel was chosen as Paul Sunderland's replacement. Sunderland was chick's replacement.

does anyone know how to record HD??

I still have a SD set and am looking to get HD for next season but I like recording games too and not sure how to do it with HD.

I don't think a DVD recorder will allow to record HD???

You need an HD DVR to record HD. Connect a HDD to your DVR and transfer the games onto your computer.
