Perkins might play tonight

This is great news. I really hope he plays tonight. If he is healthy, he should play, because he needs time to mesh with the team and we ALL want to see him in Thunder uniform already! :)

Don't get your hopes up too high. He'll probably play from 3rd or 4th period. And that's only if we're leading I think. No point rushing him since Detroit big aren't that big :o

Good luck guys. It's hard for me to watch him OKC uniform, but I still love the guy and I'm happy for him. Gonna keep an eye on that game to see if he makes his debut.

Right now i don't really know if he said that. Any thing can be false.

yeah, it happened. It's in the new ESPN magazine. They asked Perk and KD a series of questions because they are so much different. Here's a link to the story
http://www.dailythunder.com/2011/03/per ... asol-soft/

“Lakers: Team to beat or old news?”

Durant - “They’re the reigning champs and still playing like it.”

Perk - “Yesterday’s news,” he said. “I don’t like Pau Gasol or Phil Jackson. Phil is arrogant. Pau is soft. Kobe tries to bring out his toughness, but he’s still soft.”

Nice to have an actual tough guy (not "fake tough guy" Durant) on our team for once. Kind of weird seeing a Thunder player speak out like that. Our team has always been tight lipped and handled behind closed doors

Just got off Lakers board. They seem pretty piss at Perkins for saying that, lol I can't wait till the play-offs starts this is going to be interesting year. But i'm not mad at Perkins for saying that, it's just the way he is. We need that ''tough'' look in the game.

Coming from a Laker fan who used to hate Perkins:

Perkins is exactly what the Thunder needed, not only in terms of his game and skills but his attitude as well. His demeanor was magnified by KG's trash-talking and Big Baby's antics in Boston; but alongside the rather humble and upstart personalities of KD and the Thunder squad, it's actually refreshing. He's the element that can really instill that sense of fearlessness in the team.

This is actually the most trash-talking I've ever explicitly heard from him, but it doesn't bother me as a Laker fan. I'm looking forward to a matchup in the playoffs, so I hope both teams can hold up their ends of the bargain.

U guys got the classic enforcer in Perk. :D He ain't scared of anybody, he's been there, done that and ready to mix it with anybody and plays 150 % every game.

Sam Presti(and Danny Ainge) is the 1 of the most impressive GMs in the NBA, if not the most impressive.
