Some people it seems just want their to always be a Winner-Loser so they can gloat or something.

You know in terms of winning ability it goes Deron>Billups>Melo. Of course Knicks fans were thrilled when they got Marbury.

Billups has a ring.

Billups has been to 3-5 ECF & NBA Finals.

It's cool if you want to say DWill>Melo, because as of right now that is certainly true. But in terms of winning, Billups has by faaaaaaar the better Resume there bro.

So yeah, try again...

Except she ends up scoring with a much hotter dude in the end.

I really wish I could dig up the threads on the Knicks board when a vast majority of the posters were flipping out about "Denver demanding Felton for Billups to be included".

Most Knicks posters were saying things like "well if they want to swap Billups for Felton, they better include Nene". Oh man, how quickly things change.

But as far as talent I think Williams fits a lot better than Melo does. And the Knicks probably could have kept more assets as well. Williams + Amare would be scary.

And the whole Billups argument is really pointless because everyone knows hes going back to Denver this off season.

Is Dwill even going to sign an extension? If not, he's just a 2 year rental just like Billups...

- Feel free to show me a post where I personally said that.

Otherwise don't generalize our fanbase or myself.

- In fact, quite a few of our Posters recognized that Billups veteran leadership would be better for the new Team since we had so few young pieces left. Also, some were getting weary with Felton shooting more than passing at times (and missing at that  ).

- Most also recognized that Billups did wonders for Rose & Westbrook at Team USA, and are seeing it work wonders for Toney Douglas now (just like he did for Ty Lawson).

Because IIRC, according to many of your Nuggets posters NY had nothing but trash assets and nothing Denver could want. ;)

Deron Williams is unquestionably better than Carmelo Anthony. That said, the Knicks line of thinking was/is clear......get Anthony to play SF now and get one of Paul/Deron to become your PG 2 years from now. If they had acquired Deron instead, Anthony would likely have ended up elsewhere and they'd be left with no option for a 3rd star. Billups is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things so I dont understand why people are even bothering arguing about him.

Rookie: Favors > Fields (ok this season no, but on potential YES)
PG: Harris > Felton
Extras: Nets + GS picks vs ??

If the Knicks would of parted with Gallo, it could tilt the scale some on the Knicks favor, but that's because we have no idea what the Jazz will get out their picks, but that GS pick is gold if its in the 8-12 range since so many players are opting out of this draft cause of the pottntial lockout.

what decision? utah didnt have the choice between new york and new jersey offers.

I'm gonna laugh when Williams high tails it out of town after next season, and the Nets are left with nothing.

Williams is the better player, but the Nets gave up too much to rent a guy for the 2nd half of a lottery bound season, and the 2011-2012 season, which is in doubt, with a potential lockout looming.
