Does the reporter asking his question at 0:29 have a typical Minnesotan accent? Not being from there, I can't tell.

Not sure which reporter you are referring to but this is typical Minnesota talk:

Glad to see the adjustments in the last two games. It seems that the effort on defense was greater and finally we had BALL movement!!!!!!!! Anyway this seazon is so wrong. I can count at least 10 games that Minnesota could have gotten a W instead of an L... I do not remember a game stolen by Minnesota. I hope they get consistent next season.

Some guys of bench needed playing time and confidence. I am glad to see Lazar and Elligton stepping up as reserves and really glad about Pekovic...

Concerning the latter. He is a monster. Throw the ball in the paint. He is so efficient down there. He is hard to handle. He wears out opposing bigs. Having to push a guy like Pek for 10 minutes make your shoulders suffer in big pain. On the defensive end someone has to scream at him:

DO NOT PUSH WITH YOUR HANDS, AND DO NOT MAKE CONTACT WITH YOUR SHOULDERS. Its an instant foul call. YOU ARE TOO BIG. Take it to the chest and the opponent is going to think that he run into a wall.

I now a little things about NFL and American Footbal but Pekovic would be a hell of a football player

P.S. A.R. seems like a really fragile guy. Looking at his expressions during his bench time or on the floor he seems to break down. Hard guy to handle emotionally (the Detroit game revealed some)

Anyone know what the Wolves' record is with the black jerseys?

Pek would be a terrific lineman in the NFL. He is just so damn solid, it's ridiculous... :)

Great win! Gutted I missed it but I was way too tired..finally a win against a division rival though, it's been way too long. The Jazz really are in a slump at the mo'.

I think games like this show Darko's value that doesn't normally show up in boxscores. Before yesterday Jefferson had been putting up close to 28 points a game since the all-star break and shooting around 57%. Yesterday Darko held him to 9 points on 4-13 shooting. He's a really good post defender and shot blocker. We just need to use him differently on offense so that he's not hurting the team.

It's amazing how people write him off after a rusty month or so for him. People have been really getting on his back lately, I still think he's in our top 3 most important player on our roster, without him our defense around the rim is non-existant, he gives us options offensively, is a great passer and has other great things about him. Yes, he has his bad points too but the good points certainly outweigh them IMO.

A rusty month? The dude has been stinking up the league for years.

I think he's had a mediocre year, a considerable improvement since his days in Detroit/New York/Memphis/Orlando. Just my opinion, agree or disagree, he helps this team massively when he's on his game..it's just a shame he can't find that level of consistency.

Meh, he makes flashy and good passes but then he'll have 2 dumb bounce passes into traffic for a cutter.

3. The Wolves have won back to back games by more than 20 points for the first time since December of 2001.

Darko can be important to the team.

As long as we limit his offensive imput (in other words leave him to alley oops and putbacks)
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Big Al is the perfect matchup for Darko, he can't threaten him w/ length or speed so Darko ate up that matchup. What sucks are the games when we don't have a paint scorer to worry about, but we need Darko to be a help defender and shut off penetration and unfortunately he isn't that good at that, and then if his offense isn't clicking either, he isn't really doing anything because there isn't a low post guy to body up against, he's not cutting off penetration, the shot isn't falling, and he doesn't rebound.

He needs one more thing besides post defense that he can do consistently
