I highly disagree, from the limited amount of time I've seen Jimmer play he is not even close to the top of his class in terms of break-down or finishing ability. His game will not translate into well into the NBA the way it is. He plays a style similar to Marco Bellinelli, and I'm not convinced he's the better player/passer/ball-handler, etc. either.

I don't think he will ever reach Ben Gordon's level, a borderline all-star talent. He's really getting overrated here, just my thoughts.

In case anybody missed it...

This is what makes college basketball so fun to watch. Where else would you see some small kid like this having the green light to score more than half of his team's points off off pull up jumpers in transition or with a hand in his face?

Dan Shulman is on ESPN's top announcing team so it is awesome that he will be working on TSN.

I agree he is not lotto, but he is not a second rounder to me either. He would seem right in the 15-25 range.

Jimmer is alot better then Jodie Meeks ever was at Kentucky and he makes his team alot better - remember that Meeks was volume shooting on an NIT Team. Fredette was leading a team to a 1 or 2 seed, until he got Mormoned.

You would probably use the Meeks argument for Steph Curry as well if he was entering the draft this year out of Davidson/

Stephan Curry was far more quicker and could get to the basket better.

Meeks had 54 against the Tennesse Volunteers which is always a decent program. So what if Kentucky didn't make the NCAA tournament that one year... there are always solid NIT teams. Plus Meeks helped beat Tennessee who did make the NCAA tournament.

BYU barely beat an unranked New Mexico yst. BYU plays like 7-8 guys and the ball is always in Jimmer's hands. Their bench played like 21 minutes yst. Jimmer is just their only offensive weapon and when he takes so many shots its inevitable that he won't have such ridiculous games.

He's a great college player but I can't see his skills transferring to the NBA. Maybe his solid play is worth of a late first round pick, but I can't see having the value of a lottery pick... even in this weak as draft.

How funny would it be if this happened, "With the 2nd pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors select Jimmer Fredette from Brigham Young University"

No please no lol. As amazing as his 52 points was He did it on 30+ shot attempts. He's not even going to get close to 10 shots a game on a nba team. I wouldnt mind taking walker if we ended up with the 5th pick. DD thinks he's the best pg in College ball right now. My draft board is Irving, Perry, Barnes, Walker.

It's on WSKB channel 212 if you have Cogeco.

UNC is playing terrible. They have to get the ball to Zellers and Barnes on every play for a while to get in a groove.

Wow, Clemson really roughing up UNC. Where's Henson?

Barnes off to a solid start though. 2-2fg, 7pts.

Kendall Marshall has bought into his own hype and is trying to do things himself but it's not working.

They will still win like they always do. I don't know why anyone even watch the first half of their games because they will turn it on in the 2nd. I hate North Carolina so much!!!

Wow, Clemson just killing UNC now... not allowing any penetration, fronting on every post player, and moving the ball well on offense. You can tell though, if UNC can get their act together, they can get back in this game. if they don't though, this game will be out of reach in a hurry.

Barnes with a nice move attacking the rim.

Clemson up 25-16

it'd be nice if someone else on North Carolina would be kind enough to score too.

Barnes: 5 of 7
The rest of the team combined: 2 of 11

Nope it's just HB vs Clemson today. I haven't seen Zeller and Henson look bad like today all year.

Not to mention Strickland playing selfish and Marshall playing sloppy.

Wow, now's not the time to start throwing full-court passes, Marshall.

Here we go, Carolina getting the ball down low, asserting themselves, and getting to the line. Clemson up 47-43 now.

I cringe when Barnes puts the ball on the floor. It's not a pretty sight.
