Not too bad, but I think I'd rather get my hands on Kanter to give us a nice young big man in the middle. But that move my Kemba Walker...terrific.

The move was sweet - but you have to remember that it was only Walkers 8th made field goal of that game...................on 22 attempts.

That's pretty much his MO. He's a PG who's a volume scorer. I'm not a fan of that.

Which is why I prefer a big with our likely lottery pick. Walker is young and his game will likely improve a good bit. But I agree I dont think that is the player I would hope to get.

One thing that surprises me a bit. I cannot find a single mock draft that has Hansbrough of Notre Dame being drafted in the 2nd round at all. He is the major player on the #4 team in the country, and night in and night out he shows up and leads his team to a win. AVg. is almost 19 pts per game in a very tough league. He has a ton of experience as he is a Senior. It would not surprise me at all to see a team like San Antonio or Boston or one of these consistently good teams steal him in the 2nd and he turns out to be a terrific bench player.

this draft is so PF heavy....Kanter maybe the one decent center in the stop 20

Can't wait to see Sam "The Man" Muldrow tear it up in the NBA.
Humble yourself.

Kemba Walker sure can score. But he is too short.

Regardless if he is still there by our 2nd 1st round pick then we should take him...although I can't see him falling out of the lottery. There is always a chance though, espeically since he is so short.

If he is still on the table around #18 or so, he will be a steal at that point.

Kinda curious to see how long The Jimmer stays on the table also. Figure he will go somewhere from #12 - #16. But the man can fill it up. He'd be another one to take somewhere in the range of #18 or later and be considered a solid pick.

I want to take Renardo Sidney with our 2nd round pick though.

I think his skill set is something that would fit in well with our other pieces. If we took him in the 2nd round he would be high risk but high reward.

I also think that playing under Coach Silas and Oak would be the best possible situation for him. Two old school, throw back bigs who can keep him in line and get his head straight.

Sidney last night in 18 mins Vs Vanderbilt:

22pts (10-16 fg and 2-3 3pt) with 7 rebs.

Again, in only 18 mins.

Please grab him with out 2nd pick if he is there!

Don't know how good he'll be at the next level, but on this level he is a beast! This guys skill level is off the charts. He could carry BYU quite a ways in the tournament.
Jimmer Fredette
22-37, 52 Pts
2 Rebs, 4 Assists

I think we will make the playoffs, which would give us the 15th pick. With that pick it is likely that Terrance Jones is off the table, but another pretty promising prospect would still be there. Tyler Honeycutt.

6-8 188lbs SF. Developing 3 point shooter, and really a raw prospect that has all the tools to grow into something special. He got 13 and 7 at UCLA with a steal and 2 blocks a game. He is very similar to crash in he is a do it all F. He will block shots because of his size and length, he will play good defense, and he can really rebound. i think if we could get him, it would be a good draft choice. Stick him behind Jack for a year or two, then make a natural progression of him into the starting lineup. Much like what Hendo did. For the immediate future he could develop and provide good bench depth.

With the second pick, which figures to be around 20, I would look for a big. However, if there was not one there, I would be okay with Nolan Smith. Obviously he would bring some local draw, but he would fill that 2 guard need. He would fill in nicely behind Hendo and would also provide some versatility with his ability to play PG for stretches. He is a little small for an NBA SG, but I think off the bench he could be a nice addition. However, if the big man by th ename of Jonas Valanciunas is available there, he would defiantly be the top pick.

Jonas is a 6 11 240lb big man from Lithuania. He is another guy with a lot of potential and still raw skills. He needs to add weight and gets in foul trouble far too quickly, however runs the floor well (a great help with DJ), has a big body inside (long arms), and he has a solid mid-range game. Which is very valuable as a 7 footer. In 15 minutes in his Euro league he averages 8 and 5. Again, lots of potential there and his draft stock could either really rise or realy fall between now and the draft. I have seen him go as high as number 2 in some mocks and as low as the late first in others.

Big Shot Barnes hit a huge three to cut the deficit to two points then hit another huge three to open OT. He now has 29 points and five boards.

Hate on him all you want. But after a rocky first ten games, this kid has been fantastic.

I don't hate on him, but he definitely played himself in the top 7 now, and that means we have no chance unless we lose the rest of our games, which we shouldn't because we can easily make the playoffs by winning half of them.

There is still no way we take Jimmer, even if he is on the board at 15, because of Morrison

Jimmer is a much better version of Morrison. And if after pick #15, he would be a very solid pick.

Maybe...but we took Morrison. No way we are taking a weak conference white player one trick pony again. I actually think Jimmer will be an awesome 6th man in the league...there is just no way the Bobcats go near him.

Nothing is impossible. No one knows how this season is gonna play out. Remember we have 2 1st rounders this year that can be packaged to move up. Plus if one of our pick is in the lottery, who knows where it could end up.

Barnes is the truth though. I love the guy. Today just proves he is big time. I am sure MJ has a woody right now. :D
