For anyone else interested, chance right now to watch D-Will/Zona now against the Huskies, with Gus on the mic.

If you have yet to watch Dwill play, I recommend you check him out on tv. The game will be on CBS and streamed legally on the cbs website.

As for all the people hyping up Barnes today... I dont see how his performance today really did much for his stock.
He didn't show anything new to his game. He scored points by taking open shots for the most part. He scored on a fumbled allyoop down low, and had a nice play near the end of regulation where he took two steps in and dropped back for a 3.
Players at UNC play how Roy Williams wants them to. It's possible Barnes has more to his game than what he is showing, but he is playing a position that is effective with UNC's system (drive-pass to post- kick to an open Barnes).

Correction: Barnes scored 40 points by taking mostly open shots, and drilling clutch 3's in the dying minutes of the game, and in overtime. He also iced the game by hitting his free throws when Clemson had to foul to stay alive at the end.

Not only that, but he had 8 rebounds (4 offensive), and played stellar defense, including showing he can defend quicker, smaller guards like Andre Young when Young was giving Marshall fits and blowing by him at will.

Barnes had the game of his NCAA career, carrying his team to the ACC finals, and you don't think that did anything for his stock? I think he's easily back in the conversation for a top 6 or 7 pick, which is a huge step up from where he fell on a lot of people's mocks.

Derrick Williams looks good so far I just hope he can defend SF's in the NBA, looks like he has the handles/ability to create his own shot and 3 point ability

Yes, Barnes played a great game.
He didn't show scouts anything new that they had not seen before though.
Clemson tailored their entire defence for Barnes to get the ball too.

He can drive by anyone at will. He will either get the basket or get a foul called. Rarely will one of his plays end without him scoring.
He averages over 18 points a game and he takes less than 9 shots almost everygame.

As Arizona does not have a centre (or really any serviceable big men), Derrick usually has to guard/is guarded by the other teams biggest players.

When an opposing team has two guys who are 6'9+, he tends to have to work much harder to score.

Out of all the players in our range Derrick Williams strikes me the most as a BC type pick.

He does. He's a talent no doubt it's just about fit with us, on offense he's what we need its just the defensive side most people are worried about (that'll define him as either a SF or PF).

And thanks sunny for the added info I know this your guy lol

im in the same boat as you guys. I absolutely love Dwill as he is the best player on my favourite sports team. I think the world of him as a college basketball player.

With that said, as he has not played SF since highschool, I would not want to draft him unless he can show that he still can. Besides, I'm still hoping he stays another year.

good first half. Our offense is playing well save MOMO (seriously, what the hell!).
D will had a decent first half and will bring it much harder in the second half against the tired Washington team.

Isaiah Thomas is playing great right now but I expect that to slow down.

I'm down with taking Barnes at 3 or lower as of now. Still think you have to roll the dice on Perry Jones III ahead of him.

a) goal-tend
b) he could have caught the ball
c) he didnt need to swat it out of bounds

not the worst thing that could happen.

anyways, the game is getting more and more intense.
