Re: Internal Issues?
I don't think the two are related, but Granger was playing uninspired before and when Lance went into the lineup, he started playing really crappy.

Re: Internal Issues?
In defense of Granger he is probably fed up with the fact that the core around him is so young, knowing it'll take atleast two more seasons before we're ready. The reality is setting in that our team will look drastically different next season, making it feel like another recession.
In defense of Bird the young core is promising, whoever takes over his role will be in the best shape possible.
According to Peter Vescey Simon is ready to replace the entire front office, down to the coaching staff, although Simon hinted at retaining Bird in some lower-waged capacity.
Kevin Pritchard and Mike Brown would be a great combination, along with Bird as a consultant. Larry is ready to reduce his responsibilities and this work's best. I think any business between Bird and Simon will be mutually agreeable.
If Granger wants out after the turnover, I'd look at any possibility, but would expect atleast half what DWill and Melo got.
ie.....Granger straight-up for Milsap isn't good value when you consider Utah only gave what was projected as two worthless late firsts for Al Jefferson. My point is more good deals await. It'll take a potential stud and a lottery pick for Danny. For instance if I dealt with Utah it would take Favors and the NJ first. They would have essentially traded Deron for Devin Harris, Danny Granger & Minny's 2012 top pick.... That is great value for Deron.
Hopefully our new GM is creative.
