Chipper Update: Spring Training ...

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 5:08 am

Well so far Chipper has had a really good ST both with the bat and in the field. I went to four games at Champions Stadium(Disney), he played at 3b the of the games I went to and was DH the other game vs Yankees. He looked good playing at 3b, had a few grounders hit his way at some of the games I went to and he didn't have any trouble.

His spring avg is .353 with an OBP of .421 to go along with 2 HRs 4 Dbls 8 rbi

Chipper is killing it this spring. Sounds like they are planning on treating Chipper like a catcher with random days off throughout the year, hopefully this'll keep him healthy and we can get a solid year out of him.
