Phils calling it a "game time decesion", but knowing Kobe, hes gonna try to play through it.

only play if he can do so effectively. i don't care about homecourt or whatever. as long as kobe, pau, drew, fisher, and odom are healthy i like our chances aginst anyone.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

that **** was one of the most awkward lookin ankle twist ive ever seen....it looked really nasty when he landed on that foot......so i think its best if he rests and give the team the opportunity to learn to carry themselves without their star player....im thinkin in the long run so i dont mind if kobe doesnt play for few games just to get ready for the playoffs....though if we end up 3rd its gona be a real grind

as per the wiretap - he said he thought his career was done when he twisted it... now for kobe to say that it scared even him.. that's gotta be saying something about how bad it actually is.

hopefully he sits out and gets healthy let the team come together and share the scoring load for the playoffs

He had ankle insurance . Otherwise his ankle would have detatched from his leg.

he should probably play since it will bring the better out of him as a facilitator more so than going 7-20 from the field

Time to start think about life after Kobe if management hasn't already. Build around Bynum or look for the next guy?

So Kobe sits out Odom and Gasol, should hold it down. Gasol should be carrying the team without Kobe.

Guys all this "I hope he sits out" is a bit dramatic. He just said it was swollen and its not like it's broken. Just shoot it up, go out and play. He'll be fine, he'll just play reduced minutes. We need all the wins we can get.

I agree with Jetset, plus he said he can push off of it so that to me is huge.

But the next game is Friday. Of course he can play, but isn't it better to just get a few more days of rest at the expense of one game to try to get that ankle feeling better?

To be honest though I don't want to ever have Kobe sit out.. but if it's best for him then I'd have to prefer it. Either way I guess whatever happens tonight will be best

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
