I would go after Jordan Hamilton as our plan b if we can't get Barnes.

[Hamilton's biggest strengths as an NBA prospect clearly revolve around his terrific scoring instincts and shot-making ability. He has NBA-plus range on his jumper, being absolutely deadly with his feet set, and showing a quick, compact release that allows him to catch the ball and get it off in one swift motion. He's shooting almost six 3-pointers a game but is making 43% of his attempts, despite the fact that opposing defenses are almost always geared toward stopping him.

I think Hamilton would be a better fit then Jones.

haven't seen anything from this kid, but the scouting report sounds good. everyone knows we need 3point shooting badly. NBAdraft.net has Cedric Ceballos as a NBA comparison, lol. And I always liked Ceballos when I was a kid

I like Jordan Hamilton. I think he would be a really good fit next to hendo. You need someone next to Hendo that can stretch the defense and Hamilton is defiantly that guy. I love his shooting stroke and I think he wWILL be on the board around 15.

Another guy that is more of a raw prospect but could develop into the same type shooting SF. Tyler Honeycutt. He is extremely raw at this point but has a developing shot and could really develop into a very solid player. I would take Hamilton over him though, but either way there is defiantly a GREAT opportunity to find a future SF in this class, even at pick 15. I really think either Hamilton or Honeycutt could be that man.

Hamilton will be there for us if we are picking anywhere from #12 - #16. Would be a very solid pick up at that stage.

Every time I have watched Hamilton play (been about 6 times I guess) I have been pretty underwhelmed.

On paper he is a very good fit next to Hendo though.

It's a damn shame that Hendo isn't 3 inches taller, 15lbs heavier and a true SF. That way Burks would be the perfect compliment to him at the SG position.

Hamilton is a scorer, there's no doubt about that. He just seems to be a bit too inconsistent for my taste. You want top level guys to show up in big games, and with him it's a crapshoot.

Consider Kawhi Leonard too if he's still available:

Jay Bilas: Kawhi Leonard, San Diego State: Leonard is a man. He has huge hands, goes after the ball with tremendous will and plays with an unyielding persistence. In short, Leonard plays hard, and he plays hard all the time. Try going to the gym without seeing Leonard there. He loves to play, and that is contagious. Leonard shames his teammates into working harder and wanting more and does so without having to say a word about it. His example says it all. (From Jay Bilas "Most Respected players in College BB http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college ... id=6131081)

6'7" 225 age 19

Chad Ford: San Diego State's Kawhi Leonard had a terrific game in the first loss to BYU, scoring 22 points and grabbing 15 boards despite the fact that he was battling the stomach flu and throwing up just 90 minutes before the game. More and more scouts are referring to him as a lottery pick, perhaps a top-10 pick by draft night. (Chad Ford's Top 100 Prospects http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft/re ... hi-leonard)

Positives: Explosive leaper; Freakishly long arms; Good, developing body;Incredible motor;Excellent rebounder; Developing offensive player

Two good lists to help you brush up:

Chad Ford's (ESPN) Top 100 prospects: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft/re ... /year/2011

Draft Express: http://www.draftexpress.com/

You won't see half the top ten prospects in the Tourney, they're either hurt (Kyrie Irving) inelligible (Perry Jones, Enes Kanter) or International.

Some names to watch for our CHA pick: Derrick Williams AZ, Terrence Jones KY, Kawhi Leonard SDSU, Jimmer Fredette BYU, Jordan Hamilton TX, Marcus & Markieff Morris KS, Kemba Walker CT; some of interest for the NO pick: Tyler Honeycutt UCLA, Keith Benson 6'11 C Oakland, Jon Leuer 6'10 3 pt specialist Wisc.

If we somehow magically end up with Jimmer, i will personally give myself an uppercut. A Ryu-Ken uppercut.

What about Kieth Benson, the 7 footer from Oakland? He is averaging 18 and 10 with 3.6 blocks and is shooting 40% from 3. I havn't seen his name in mocks, but from what I have seen he looks like a pretty solid prospect.

Chad Ford says: April 16 Update: Benson is a long, lanky big man who clearly has a nice combination of size and skill at his position and put up good numbers against some pretty good teams this season. However, his thin physique, combined with a complete disinterest in playing any defense, probably relegates him to second-round status if he stays in the draft.

Seems odd for him to put up 10 rebs & 3+ blocks and be knocked for his D
He'd be one to target to watch to see how he looks. Have you seen him play?

I havn't seen him play, looking forward to watching him against Texas in the tourny. It does seem strange that a big man wih that much skill would go undrafted. I mean the kid has size, rebounding, shot blocking, 3 point shot, scoring. Sure defense is a big deal, but you can teach defense. From what I have read he runs the floor really well and really would open up our offense with his shot making ability. I'm really surprised Forde thinks he goes undrafted. I think his stock will rise, and I think he would be w goo dpick with either of our 2nd round pick or the Hornets pick depending on how high he rises.

Sounds like a great second round target, give him to Oakley who will either get him to be aggressive at defence or make him cry.

Travis Leslie is a guy I have seen a lot of this season because I have been watching Trey Thompkins a lot. Leslie is fun to watch. He's a JRich/Bukie type.
