Post#1 » by FJS » Sun Mar 13, 2011 1:01 pm

I don't get it.
We are sucking big time and he is playing guys like Bell for 35+ min or AK and Hayward, Favors and Evans around 10 min.... we are losing by 20, c'mon!!!

He's passive and afraid to take risks as the team leader, so he defers to the older veterans who've been around the block with the Jazz. Nobody will criticize a new coach for playing veterans and losing.

For what it's worth, I agree with you that the young fellas should be getting tons of minutes. But then again, I also think Corbin wont make it....

Nothing personal, Ty! Prove me wrong :)

He's tanking. There is no other excuse why Bell would be on the floor.

Well said!! He is extremely passive as a head coach and its getting on my nerves. Corbin, you have a new long term contract with a team losing every game. Take some risks and start the rookies with AK-47 at PF. It cant get any worse.

Hayward and Favors weren't that into the game last night and weren't trying that extremely hard, but neither were the Jazz's starters so I don't know.

Hey guys, thinks are not only black or white, I also think that Hay should start in place of Raja but yesterday Gordon was really bad specially in def. He was lost on almost every screen set for KK. And you have to give Bell a credit, he play really good in 2 half vs Bulls.

It really pisses me off when fans have all their teams' players and staff on such a short leash.

I'm really surprised that some people can in all seriousness conclude that Corbin should be fired, without feeling like complete uneducated jackasses.

I'm not talking about the OP or some of you that have criticism, that's fine and the point of these forums is to discuss those things. It's the few select individuals who demand change all the time. They criticize the entire team and organization, and then when change happens they act vindicated and satisfied. However the Jazz proceed to struggle adapting and then the whining deluge crashed through the floodgates again.

Someone who I don't need to name talked about how Devin Harris would average double digit assists, push the ball like crazy and score as much as Deron. You may not have loved Deron, but facts are fact - he's a better player and always will be. It's not fair to hold Harris to such lofty expectations. In fact it's a joke.

Great post.

I think there's some people who will advocate firing any coach who doesn't win 60 games per season (hell, even then, they'd say it was in spite of the coach). And this is coming from someone who's not impressed with Corbin.

And you certainly don't need to name the person.

"Deron sucks as a PG; he's an SG. I want him gone."
"Deron's gone!!! Yes!!! Now we have a real PG who's going to make us forget Der -- *opinion changes mid-sentence* -- Harris is a low-IQ loser who's set in his losing ways!!!"

Probably he's been instructed to tank it, and he just doesn't want to instill that mentality on the rookies or get them used to get burned by experient players/teams. That's the only guess that makes sense. If I were to lead my team to tank a season, I'd ride the grown/experienced dudes whose mind is used to the business part of it.

Is there something in Bell contract?like a promise that he will be our starter? I think the reason Evans is on the floor is because we are showcasing him. I think Favors is ours moving foward. As for CJ and Hayward not being on the floor more i don't know. I would like to see a brand new starting 5 vs the Sixers but it wont happen. To be honest no one is really showing that since of urgency besides Al
