again, like i have said before, the Hawks are not going to do anything in the playoffs if they just filling a roster with "almost all stars" (which Bogut is). the Hawks will remain as a prtender playoff team until they can add a top 10 player with Horford and Smoove.
Hawks should now target and get into position to get Dwight, Deron, or CP. adding a legit center might win a few playoff games (but not playoff series) but it will not get you pass the Celtics, Lakers, Heat, or Spurs.
Anyone still disagree with me about Bogut?

Re: Anyone still disagree with me about Bogut?
If the idea is to get a defensive C, which is mostly what Bogut is with only one decent offensive season to his resume in 6 seasons, then I'm sure better packages can be assembled without tying down our cap with mostly useless players. We've seen Charlotte acquire Pryzbilla for GWall earlier they traded Chandler for the DUST chip, Dalembert was acquired for Nocioni, Phoenix acquired Gortat for Hedo and JRichardson and most recently OKC get Perkins for Green and a 1st rounder. These are all much cheaper deals that didn't murder the receiving team's future by having to take back overpaid roleplayers while still netting comparable centers. The price for Bogut is just far too high and undeserved, we should be able to address our need with simply one of our core (once we find the nerve to) or a package of expirings.

Joe and Josh (28M) for Bogut, Salmons, and Maggette (28M)
C: Bogut
PF: Horford
SF: Maggette
SG: Salmons
PG: Kirk
this is a ridiculously bad lineup, and would do nothing against the Celtics, Heat, or Magic..... you are basically saying that, if you put Horford on the Bucks, that will make Milwaukee a championship team
Bogut
Horford
Maggette
Salmons
Jennings.............

And Bogut, playing only 3 qtrs, had 8 points, 8 rebounds and a steal.
He'd still be the defensive anchor inside that we do not have.

Bogut would have his way with Ilgauskus, Horford is better than Bosh and Hinrich/Teague bests the Heat PGs. No one is going to stop LBJ and Wade, anyway, but we have Marvelous to play defense, at least.
We would dominate on the boards and inside. Remember what LAL did to us? That was with Bynum and Gasol with Kobe the 3rd man. The rest of the team is made of scrubs. If we can turn teams into jump shooting offenses, we'll win a lot of games.

In addition, we're making a mistake if we only look at the immediate results of the trade. Bogut is playing hurt and will have surgery this offseason. He'll be better ... and when he is, the chance to get him will pass us by.
Right now, our "big 3" is Joe, Horford and Smoove. Compare that to Bogut, Horford (in the right position) and Salmons with an improved bench. Our defense would be much better, our inside scoring would be improved ... and Horford probably would explode. For goodness sakes, Marvelous might even benefit from a team that makes more sense (sorry, can't lose the Marvelous-love).
Right now - WHEN JOE'S HEALTHY - he's a 21/gm scorer, Horford's 16 and Smoove is almost 17. Consider that we're capped out, financially, with little possiblility of improvement, unless the players we already have can grow. You're arguing for THAT? Joe getting older and Horford getting beat up? Bogut/Horford might both score 20/gm each - the pairing would help them out that much.

Your trade gives us almost as little cap flexibility, and for a worse roster overall.
