darrenrovell Knicks season tickets will rise, on average, 49% next yr. Likely the largest yearly avg increase in sports history.

Ouch! That's a shame.

What was that? ANYTHING SPECIAL? Posterizing? GET REAL!!

This is just some ordinary put back, offensive rebound dunk.

Speights rebounded with one hand, didn't box out and got attacked by Nazr from back.
Nothing special, ordinary.

No need to wet your effing pants for that.

I miss Morris Peterson. :(

Higgins had the perfect all-bum squad but had to break it up by cutting MoPete and Marks.

(1) I don't get the Granger flareup. I watched it live as it was happening, and the two confronted each other. It seemed like Granger and Barbosa were having a discussion. If Granger wanted to do something, he could have done something. That white -- McRoberts? -- seemed more angry and was definitely more animated, bumping into Barbosa when he went up to Granger and then talking more when the three were together.

(2) What happened to Morris Peterson? Did he not get to jump on a ring-chasing bandwagon? I figured if Peja got picked up, Peterson would, too.

I used to like Granger, but after reading some of his "tweets" or however you call it, I really started to despise him. What an ignorant, racist prick.

I lost all respect for him years ago when he smoked Gerald Wallace from behind on a break away dunk attempt.

It was a really dirty play that didn't sit well with me at all - and still doesn't.

Can you post some of those tweets.

I've never liked Granger.

To date, I've made over $3,500 on Amazon selling old Atari, Nintendo (different iterations), Dreamcast, and Gameboy games, old cellphones, books, and other random crap.

If you have any old stuff laying around that you don't want or use, I highly advise selling it online for the money. It got my mom to stop hoarding and paid for some tuition!

Damn straight, that's how I make my income right now. I'll go around to yard sales, find old game items, and resell them online. Old NES stuff is especially valuable these days. Just yesterday I picked up a SNES, Sega Genesis, controllers, and a few games for $7. I'm still waiting for the great finds later in the Summer, like when I picked up $300 worth of SNES and N64 stuff last year for $5.

I always tell people that they need to go to eBay and search for something before they donate it/trash it. I don't think most people would have trashed those broken NES's knowing they could still get $10-20 for them.

ha ha I have a suitcase full of old phish and grateful dead tapes among other stuff that I pop into my car stereo from time to time. I use to tape phish shows back in the day along with lots of other bands before they became famous. First time I saw Phish was in a small club in upstate NY back in 1990. Didn't tape that one but I did record a ton of shows from 1993-1995. I guess I can understand you chucking the tapes because there are so many better quality copies today.

My mom accidentally threw out my old baseball cards. Never collected bball cards. Wonder what happened to my Atari. Had Colecovision and intellivision too.

ahhh so many great memories...

Games depend. Some of the popular Nintendo games (Zelda, Mario, etc) go for $20. Hell, I just sold Super Smash Bros. on eBay for $19 the other day. Right combination of games and the system, you could easily get $50-100.

I have a tape player. Vintage Pioneer CT-F2121 from the 70's. Use it for some of my music production work along with my Technics turntable. It's too powerful for newer tapes (90's or newer) because the rewind/forward will rip the ribbon off because it doesn't automatically stop at the end of the tape. Gotta love vintage technology.

Only if you had that Intellivision in the original box. I think they still go for $100-150 complete with the original box.

I've got a ton of cards, I need to find them all. Recovered some from our storage building recently but I know I have more. Found some Pokemon cards I stole from some kid in the 4th grade because he called me fat. They aren't worth anything though. :(

I sold Mario Kart 64 and Pokemon Stadium for a combined $25. Doesn't seem like much, but considering I was going to throw it away.. I'll take it.

Super Mario (SNES), Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3 (SNES) went for a combined $65

Old Pokemon games go for anything between $10 and $25 a piece

My mom's Atari 2600 woodgrain sold for $150!!

XBOX and PS3 games go from $5-$40ish depending on the age and I bet baseball cards can go for a good price too

battery, i would have never expected such a die hard republican such as yourself to be a closet dead/phish fanatic. ;) went to my first dead show in 91 and first phish show in 93. my roommate in college was a taper so i had good access to a ton of 1st generation shows during the early/mid 90s. i am slowly starting to replace some of my fave tapes with torrent versions. spartanburg sc, 1994 still my fave phish so i saw in person. i havent been to see them since about 2001 though. just got tired of the sloppiness of the music, didnt care for any of the newer stuff and got tired of the scene.

thats funny because my roommate in college was the one who got me into taping too. He was a HUGE taper and got me into the underground music scene so when I went back to NY I started taping everything. Not familiar with the spartanburg show in 1994, don't think I've ever heard any shows from this area. Some of my fav shows that I went to were New Years at MSG both in 94 and 95, Boston Garden Halloween in I think 94 and I was at the 2 shows at Sugarbush the summer of 94 where we camped out on a mountain. Those shows was VERY special with an incredible atmosphere (stage at bottom of mountain while everyone was watching from the mountain side) people hopping over the fence getting in for free and Trey joking about it on stage. Those were my most memorable shows.

Grateful Dead I would see them a lot at MSG and Nassau Coliseum, LOVED the whole parking lot experience! ha ha Stopped paying attention to Phish in the late 90's but every now and then I check up on them. Love watching old concert footage on Youtube.

As for my politics I didn't really start getting political until the late 90's around the time of the whole Monica Lewisnky scandal. I guess you can say I started caring when my paychecks started going up. But that is only a small part as to why I am a Conservative. And if I was political during my Phish days, I am sure I would not be taking advice from a bunch stoned out hippie Marxists which is what the leadership of the Democratic party has become. :D

@battery - that spatanburg was 2 days before the infamous white album halloween show in glen falls. the set list is solid, nothing amazing, but they were on fire that night. sounds like you have seen some classics though. benefit of living in the northeast in the early 90s.

has anyone been watching spartacus - blood and sand (and the prequel mini series arena of the gods)? its a starz original and is available via streaming on netflix. i highly recommend it. its freaking fantastic. its about the rise of spartacus, a roman gladiator. the fighting is as bloody, graphic and violent as you could ever imagine, the plot line is great and in between the fighting and plot is lots of orgies. check it out. i started with the prequel first. i am about 6 episodes into season 1 of blood and sand now (2 seasons have been made).
