Greg Zaun had that Dion Phaneuf vibe going. His look and personality just made him unlikeable. Hard to explain but that permenant scowl they both have just made it seem like they were arrogant pricks.

Gregg Zaun was just announced as Sportsnet's fulltime MLB analyst, per my sources. (I always wanted to say that).

Edit: Sounds like it's in house, with Jamie Campbell, like in the playoffs. (Don't want anyone excited that Tabler's gone)

Welcome to our new MLB analyst, Gregg Zaun. He has just signed a two-year contract with the network.

I don't think he'll provide much more than what Buck Martinez does during broadcasts. I suppose his perception is a little more updated, so I hope gives gives us some good stuff on what's been happening around major league clubhouses in the last decade (although I'm sure sportsnet will limit what he says, especially about his time with the Jays).

I'm actually really excited about Zaun joining Sportsnet.. I always loved his analysis, he definitely brought over some of the "behind the scenes" type of stuff, and I was always looking forward to his segments.

Even though Zaun wasn't exactly a lifer as a Jay, there's always something great about Jays alumni coming back in some capacity (Buck, Tabler, Hentgen, etc etc.. even AWill with the Raps)
