Just a point in my defense, I don't believe the last roster spot has a caphold of 854k, according to Coon: http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q14

- # A roster charge if the team has fewer than 12 players (players under contract, free agents included in team salary, players given offer sheets, and first round draft picks). The roster charge is equal to the rookie minimum salary for each player below 12. The roster charge only applies during the offseason.

Which if true, would be around 450ishk, which would be enough for my roster to be under the caphold.

i believe you are correct, cap hold is for a rookie min, not vet min, but I believe the 3 guys you signed then deleted a day later will be considered on your roster, but with the rookie cap hold you are just below the hard cap

Gilbert Arenas $19,269,307
LeBron James $16,022,500
Tony Parker $13,500,000
Mike Miller $5,400,000
Hedo Turkoglu $11,015,850
Andres Nocioni $6,650,000
Jermaine O'Neal $6,226,200
Zach Randolph $18,500,000
Cook $ 854,389
Dorsey $854,389
Collins $854,389
rookie Min cap $473,604

totals: $99,620,634

the problem with the trade is you are taking on extra salary (very little) but that extra salary puts you above the hard cap, you need to be trading away more then you are receiving.

Ok I adjusted the trade it should work now.

Utah and LAL have agreed to a trade:
Utah Trades
Nada, using some of my $10,000,000 in cap space

LA Lakers Trade
James Posey $7,595,500
2013 LAL 1st

The Jazz have cap room they aren't using, so why not get a future asset and help a team get away from that hard cap?

Good dealing.

Utah and Philadelphia have agreed to a trade.
Utah Trades
JJ Redick $6,750,000
Louis Amundson $2,403,000
$9,153,000

Philadelphia Trades
Trevor Ariza $6,790,640
Craig Brackins $1,404,960
x 1.25 = $10,244,500

Jazz accept. I like Hayward moving forward and I really needed a small forward (even after signing Weems). It hurts to loose two good players, but I get what I need in return.

LA Accepts.

We save approx $15m inc luxury tax so its worth giving up a first. We can always buy another one in the future.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

EDIT - Nuggets send Jodie Meeks to Phoenix as we have a roster space, and he's a minimum.

The Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and Atlanta Hawks have agreed upon a trade.

The Suns send 2012 CHI 1st, Kurt Thomas ($854,389), and Jarrett Jack ($5,000,000), and Derek Caracter ($788,872) in exchange for Marvin Williams ($8,050,000).

Suns Outgoing: $6,643,261 X 1.25 = $8,304,076
Suns Incoming: $8,050,000

The Hawks send Andres Nocioni ($6,650,000) in exchange for Kurt Thomas ($854,389), 2012 CHI 1st, and Jarrett Jack ($5,000,000).

Hawks Outgoing: $6,650,000
Hawks Incoming: $5,854,389

The Nuggets send Marvin Williams ($8,050,000) in exchange for Andres Nocioni ($6,650,000), and Derek Caracter ($788,872).

Nuggets Outgoing: $8,050,000
Nuggets Incoming: $7,438,872

Deal Works!

Suns accept. With our most recent trade, we're left without a two man rotation at SF, and while Marvin isn't an answer, he's still relatively young, and we don't give up much of our core in the process

PHI accepts. I like what redick brings to our team, and amundson is clearly better than brackins and gives me some athletic talent at the 4.

Confirmed. We add a 2012 1st and a good combo guard as well as a nice backup big (5/6) in Thomas.

#165: PHI and SAS have a deal to announce:

To SAS: Nenad Kristic ($3,000,000)
Courtney Lee ($2,225,093)
Tayshaun Prince ($7,500,000)
Nate Robinson ($4,500,000)

Total: 17,225,093 * 1.25 = 21,531,366

To PHI: Andre Iguadala ($13,531,750)
Travis Outlaw ($7,000,000)

Total: 20,531,750

Deal works!

PHI accepts. We've been constantly looking for a more talented wing, and Iguadala fits that perfectly. Had to take outlaws contract to make the deal work, but he could develop into a nice rotational player for us. Welcome back to philly, Iggy! :D

We replace Lebron with a 28/7/3 guy who is lights out from 3 and very young. We can build around Durant for the future and win now with him. Kaman is turning things around and was an allstar last year. The other pieces will come in handy as well.

Switched to Arroyo.

The Denver Nuggets and SA Spurs have agreed to the following:

San Antonio will send:

Andrea Bargnani :$9,250,000
James Anderson :$1,402,540

Total: 10,652,540

Denver will send

Daniel Orton: $1,105,560

Total: 12,715,560

Deal works!

We get the floor spacing we desperately need by acquiring Bargnani. Nice dealing Gremz

Trade #167
The Timberwolves and 76ers have a deal to announce:
**Before this trade the 76ers release the min contract of Chris Wilcox**

Timberwolves outgoing: Gasol(6,500,000) + Batum ($2,155,365) + mozgov($3,343,896) + Butler(854,389) + Bledsoe($1,596,360) + Plumlee($473,604) = $14,923,614 x 1.25 = $18,654,517

Incoming: Iggy(13,531,750) + Wes($4,006,080) + Eyenga( $1,097,520) = $18,635,350

Philly outgoing: Iggy(13,531,750) + Wes J($4,006,080) + Eyenga( $1,097,520) = $18,635,350 x 1.25 = $23,294,187

Incoming:Gasol(13,000,000) + Batum ($2,155,365) + Mozgov($3,343,896) + Butler(854,389) + Bledsoe($1,596,360) + Plumlee($473,604)= $21,423,614

Timberwolves accept. It's tough to trade away a nice young center but we get back the best player in this deal and a couple nice prospects in Wes J(who is very similar to Batum), and Eyenga who is very athletic and a great defender.
