I never said he's not a good defender, because he is better than a lot of players on the defensive end, but there are better 1 on 1 defenders. As for the portion "ask these guys" cool, I could dig up stats like that for a lot of guys. You're right though, I never watch him play...more like ive seen him play since he was at U of A...seems like you are one of those guys that looks up numbers and trys to act like he knows what hes talking about. Some of those players on the PPP list are not even good defenders, the numbers may indicate they are, but if you watched the game enough you'd know numbers can be deceiving.
Lebron, Afflalo, Artest, Battier, Wallace, and Sefolosha are all better defenders IMO and thats just wings. Just last week Durant lit up the "best wing defender" in the NBA for 34 pts and 16 rebounds, and AK47 (lmao) dropped 16 pts on him last night.
Appreciate you trying to discount my knowledge though

Everyone's got opinions and think they have knowledge. I've seen him play and the stats just back up what I see. I never watched him play at UoA but I have followed him and watched him play since he came into the league as I am a fan of his. And so what if the
best pure scorer dropped 34 and 16 on him? What, you haven't seen lesser guys drop big numbers on Lebron, Afflalo and Thabo before?
Those numbers may not be perfect, and there are bound to be guys who don't deserve to be at the top of the list who are there. But for the most part, the guys who are suppose to be up there, Bron, Deng, Iggy, Hill, Wade etc are there. I'm a big fan of defense and would watch games just to see defense players do their job. But outside of watching and reading the score box, I've never had real statistical evidence for great defenders. Now I do.
The games comes first, the stats just back it up.

I think Hedo is past his prime. He wasted his time in Toronto when the Magic could've made a real run with him last season.
