No, I was fairly gifted athletically(Track & Field was actually my best sport back then, until I realized everyone was roided up). I wasn't as explosive as Wade, but still very decent. I had a nice skillset too, just not up to what Pre-injury Penny was, obviously.

Speed & quickness is incredibly important in a 1 on 1 game. MJ's reaction time had slowed a bit by 40, and this would be an issue for him. Loose rebounds that need to be chased down would likely go in my favor even with MJ's height advatage. MJ had a better midrange shot than me, but I was a better 3pt shooter. MJ would have to guard me closely, even deep, otherwise I would just load up on 3's all game long. Also, with him being forced to guard me closely on the periemter, if I get even a little bit of an angle on MJ, I'm blowing right by to the rim. Defensively, MJ's post game would be my biggest problem. His ability to create space, and superior post moves would be a load to handle. Even still, MJ's shot was bit off by 40.

I love this thread.

1) I already said I had injuries, thus a railroaded basketball career.

2) I already said that I have played NBA players, not just playground scrubs. For example, I could point out that Baron Davis is a friend of mine since back in the Crossroads days, and that I have beat him in 1 on 1 quite a few times since he's been in the league, but I don't think BD is that popular on RealGM.

3) NBA players don't walk on water, and don't "lock you down" at will, that's just not how it is. They're in the NBA because of skillsets, pedigree, intangibles, but they're not super human. Even a guy like Smush with marginal talent can put up 14 ppg in the NBA under the right circumstances. John Starks was a CBA scrub before the Knicks picked him up. There is a boatload of guys who can play at a NBA level but are not in for a mutlitude of reasons. Like I said earlier, only 50-60 guys even make the NBA each year.

4) Nice video, but MJ was scoring alot in game situation, and not so much in 1 on 1 plays. The whole dynamic is different. Would also like to point out that he needed 25 shots to get those 25 points(wouldn't really call that a raping).
