Thanks Melo, we are really paying for it. (Well not me so much, but all the season ticket holders and the New Yorkers are.) But now i cant afford to go to another game this season.

Dolan was going to put the screws to us so long as the Knicks were successful with--or without--Melo. You think he's going to pay for that renovation--oh hell no we have to front the cost through these exorbitant prices.

Hell is wrong with you folks? If you told us a year ago we'd have Amare, Melo and Billups fans of the team would have been crazy happy and foes would have said we are crazy. We are having growing pains right now. We'll be fine!

+ 1,000,000 to both of you.

The day NYK wins a chip, half this board is going to jump of the Empire State due to nothing to bitch about.

If we win a ring, that means everything people are bitching about has been addressed.

And if we win in six, someone will complain that we didn't win it in 5 or sweep.

This board thrives on complaining. Look at all the people on here complaining about Melo. I thought everything was gonna be great after we got him?

I was following the game thread last night, and the way people were talking about Melo and Amare you'd think they were the two worst players in the league.

To be fair, regardless about how you feel about Melo, I don't think anyone expected it to be exactly the same, but with less defense, less assets, and twice the payroll

Honestly, I thought we should have pulled the plug on the trade and rolled with the team we had. I felt, and still feel, that far too much went out the door to justify what was coming back.

But my point is you could have taken last night's game thread, substituted Melo's name (or Chauncey's, for that matter) with Gallo or Chandler, and it would have read exactly like a game thread from the first half of the season. Outside of the team (which hasn't been stable since Amare got here), nothing ever changes around here.

All that is well and good, but when Turkeyglue, J Rich, Pierce, Allen, Wade, Lebron, Deng and Joe Johnson are having major issues guarding Carmelo in these playoffs and in the coming seasons, we will all know why we made the trade to get him. That man gets BUCKETS!
